About us

Sound Waves has been serving the Parsippany and greater Morris County area for over 15 years. We sell and install many of today's top brands of Home Audio and Electronics. From simple Flat Panel HDTV installations to sophisticated home automation systems we can do it all. We have 8 employees, most have been with our company for over 5 years some as long as 15 years. We do not us subcontractors for any of our installation, our own employees do every facet of the installation. We are a member of CEDIA and have been for 5 years. Service calls minimum charges are $150. And our Labor rate is $125 per hour for 1 technician and $165 per hour for 2 technicians. We offer free initial consultation for Angie's List members who are looking to have home theater, home automation, or whole home audio systems installed. And charge a $125 design fee which is non refundable for a system design. If the customer decides to use Sound Waves for their Home System the customer will receive a $125 credit toward their system. We are insured and bonded for over 1 million dollars in coverage. We look forward to meeting you and helping you with all your home audio needs.

I own is a 1981 Corvette which has 36,000 miles on it & I am the original owner of it. I came in to have the antenna replaced and decided to replace my whole sound system. I was told it would take about 2 hrs. I brought the car in at 9:00 a.m. & ended up have to leave it overnight. Upon pick up, I noticed the dash was not replaced properly and they are telling me that is how it was when I brought it in! The front desk person (Rory) in deceptive and lied to me about making good on their faulty work. I paid much more than what was quoted and am now stuck. Don't use this place & if you do, do not pay until you thoroughly review their work!! That was my mistake. I hope to post this review everywhere to spare others what i am going through. I also intend to take them to small claims court.

A month later and every thing is working perfectly. I really like the choice of remote starter they offer over Viper, $100 less in price and works every time with same warranty. Beat that ?

The job went extremely well from the planning stages to the installation. The installation crew was very professional and they went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were satisfied. They were very knowledgeable about the system and were able to answer all our questions. They alsocompleted the job in the time that was promised. They have followed up via email a couple of times to make sure we were satisfied and that everything was working properly.

Joe provided me with a detailed and comprehensive proposal.  I was pleased with the equipment that he suggested and he offered me several options to integrate my existing system into the new one.  The installation was quick and seamless.
