About us

Hello, my name is Adaria Duarte. I have lived in Parsippany / Morris County / Northern Jersey for the past twenty years. I opened Home Helpers in 2007, providing Senior Care, assistance for new Moms and working parents, and Recuperative Care and/or Continuing Care Services to our community. I consider myself to be very different from many of the other Home Health Care Agencies. Many of the people I have met in this field come from some type of medical background, social care work or have been someone that has watched a loved one that needed this kind of service. At one time, I was the person in need of care from another person. I spent a few years depending on other people to care for me while I was recuperating from illness. I feel that this gives me a different perspective from so many of the other agencies that are out there. Being in the position that so many people find themselves having to deal with makes everyones situation so real to me. The fear, anxiety and apprehension are all something I have experienced and hopefully with my own personal experience, I will be able to help make your personal situation easier for you and your loved ones. I have spent a great deal of time finding just the right people to work with us. We do not consider ourselves an agency; rather we consider ourselves to be a family. When choosing a nurse, home health aide, companion or caregiver, I have found myself to always be looking for the person I would want to be taking care of me or my loved ones. Each caregiver is specifically chosen to the meet the needs and personality's of each client. I believe in caring for each of my clients as if they were my family, and rest assured you and your loved ones will receive excellent care and companionship with Home Helpers. Although we do have RN's for assessments, we do not typically offer skilled nursing services or Physical Therapy but can assist in acquiring such services.

They are a franchise and I found them online. They were satisfactory, very helpful and kept in contact with me. I had no problems with them and if necessary I will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Doug Feldman of Home Helpers to arrange for companion care to help my mother with health care.
