Borhen's grossly underestimated the quantity of goods to be moved in a written quote provided to us. After agreeing to a "not to exceed quoted price", Borhen's tacked-on an additional fee for a second truck. When I refused to pay for their error in estimating the size of the load, Borhen's refused to deliver my household effects and told me they were going to place my property in storage, at my expense. This was flat-out extortion. I had no choice but to pay their additional fee. This company is unethical at best and their practices are borderline criminal. In addition, we were informed by the estimator that dressers did not need to be unpacked. On moving day, the crew chief demanded that the dressers be emptied. We explained what the estimator said, and we were informed that he was taking his crew, closing the truck and leaving the job unless the dressers were emptied. We emptied the dressers into what few boxes could be found. We were later informed that since the dressers were not emptied, we delayed the crew which resulted in their not being able to properly pack their truck resulting in the need for the second truck. Another bunch of crap. Please note the written quote was for 17, 000 pounds and, according to the crew chief, we actually had approximately 25,000 pounds, much more than would fit on a single truck and trailer. Do not use this firm!
