They showed up, gave me an estimate, and then were able to complete the work right then and there. Friendly, knowledgeable, very responsive when I was setting up the appointment.

Shamrock Chimney has no communication. I finally got the technicians out to take a look at the chimney after having 3 appointments. I never received communication that the techs were not coming until I called and they made an excuse about every day is a different day. I think another way to say they have no idea. They finally arrived on a Saturday did very little testing and told me I need a new cap and it would no longer leak. I purchased the new cap and with a week we had rain and it leaked more than previously. I called Shamrock back and they set up another appointment for a week later. Again a no show and so I called and the technicians were not scheduled to be in the area when I asked why I was scheduled then, again another excuse about operations not talking to the schedulers. So they scheduled me for a week later. Again no show so I called and was told it was raining so they had to reschedule. It was not raining at my house so they could have moved on if they could no longer work 20 minutes down the road from me. So I asked to talk to a supervisor or something as this had gone on long enough, I was told they would submit a request for operations to call me and they would send the techs out the next day on Saturday. Again a no show! Now when I call I get a voice man which I never received until I ask to talk to a supervisor. This is the worst customer service I have seen. I can no longer reach them and they won?t call me back after several voicemails left. This is the most frustrating thing I have ever dealt with as each time they give you a varying time to only make excuses to cover the incompetence of the scheduling and this operations team that apparently if what everything is blamed on.

Labor rate is on the high side.

Personable employees, completed the job quickly (repair chimney exterior, required removing and replacing damaged bricks, repointing, installing flashing). Good communications with office team arranging the work and rescheduling due to weather issues.

Leaked at the first major rainstorm and no-call, no-show twice to re-inspect their work. They missed two appointments to address their work, so I have allowed them an opportunity to make things right. Update (Dec. 2023): F-rated by the BBB Angi can not help you. We pay them. They work for us. James of Shamrock on Dec. 14, while still trying to resolve the matter. Update (March 2024): Angs mediator has not been able to get everyone into a resolution meeting now for six months, so I passed my diary of events and photos along to the Maine Attorney General Office of Consumer Protection.

Excellent service. Prompt and professional with text alerts and responses. Great company.

They called me after only about 15 minutes from my initial contact with Angiâ s. Patrick and Jeff came out the very next day which was a Saturday. I thought they were coming just to give us a quote but they said they could do the job then. We hired them and within 3 hours the job was done. The chimney was relined and they repointed the top bricks and fixed the flashing. They were professional, friendly and courteous. We are waiting for a heavy rain but I feel very confident that there will be no leaks.

The two workers showed up a bit late (but we were notified they would be). Very nice guys. Said they could do the tuckpointing on our chimney right then. I thought their price was high for what was basically 2 hours work for two people. But I'd had a hard time finding anyone to do tuck pointing, so went ahead and had them do the work. Seems like they did a good job. It's hard to know without climbing up on our very steep roof. We will know in the coming year or two if their efforts solved our water and leaking problems on our chimney.

They were here for 1 hour and put liquid tar around the chimney and cement around the chimney cap. Then gave me a bill for $1,200.00!!!! I guess I was in shock and paid them. I was so upset afterwards that my son contacted them. After a long discussion they finally agreed to $600.00 which I feel was still way too much. I contacted a roofer because of a leak in shed. He came twice and he charged $150.00. He told me ahead of time he didn't t really work on chimneys, he works on slate roofs which we have. He had put sealant around but didn't see any openings where it was leaking. I sent him photos Shamrock took of openings around the chimney and the original person said they weren't there when he was up there a couple of weeks earlier. I would NEVER recommend Shamrock Chimney to anyone.

Trying to get me to do .ore expensive work costing $5500.

Fast, professional, and personable. Shamrock gave me a quote within a week of contacting them, scheduled me for the next week, then finished the job within a few hours. I will be using them if I need any work in the future.

Competent but careless around the property

I had the flashing repaired and a crown installed. They also replaced one of my flue caps that had blown off. Iâ m very pleased with the results. The two guys doing the work were very personable. They showed me before and after pictures and explained everything. No more leaky chimney for me! I highly recommend Shamrock Chimney.

They were able to diagnose our problems and take care of them immediately.

Earlier this year they replaced liner to wood stove. At their recommendation, they lined the furnace chimney. While here, they cleaned the wood stove liner after 3 months use and did not charge for this service. I now have an idea of how much creosote that I accumulate in one season. Technician was very professional and cleaned up everything when done. I recommend this company to anyone needing this service.

These guys looked very young and I pre-judged them a little. They did a great job. Jacob and his partner were efficient and professional. Highly recommend!

I never contacted this company or Angi. I called two other companies, and was waiting for replies when these guys showed up.

I have used my fireplace unlined for 32 years (I know, not a good idea). It was suggested that I line it. Initially, the company response was good. The lining was installed, and they were paid $4200. I have not been able to use my fireplace since the lining was installed. Smoke enters my home and sets off the smoke alarms. They came back once and claimed it was my chimney cap. They removed the cap, but still smoke filled the house. I think it may have something to do with the damper replacement. After the second attempt at repair, they no longer respond to my calls, and I cannot use the fireplace. Do not use this company.
