We do all the legwork for you, shopping several companies on your behalf and finding the best prices on the coverage you need most. We only represent financially sound companies that offer competitively priced products including: Travelers, Hartford, Zurich, MetLife, Progressive, American Commerce as well as many more. We help our personal clients save on their Auto/Home/Umbrella Insurance as well as Term Life/Disability and Long Term Care. I have been with Kevin Rudd at Miramar for a long time. I had my personal policies with them for quite awhile. My business policy was with another agency and I got tired of their lack of service and guidance. I called Kevin to see if he could help me to understand if my coverage was appropriate and decided to move my business policy to him as well. Glad I did. He listened to what I needed and then shopped around to get me the best policy. I continue to trust Kevin and depend upon him to make sure the policies are right and aligned with my requirements.

Great experience. I was not happy with the year after year $ increases from Liberty Mutual. After reviewing several direct to consumer companies, I decided to try an agent, checked Angie's list and saw Miramar's glowing reviews. I entered a contact request and Paul got back to me right away. He reviewed my current policies, and within a day, I had new policies which were several hundred dollars less with better coverage. Along the way, Paul was detailed, informative, quick to respond and patient in answering all questions. Highly recommended!

I have used this agency and specifically Kevin Rudd off and on for the past five years. I made the mistake of defecting to Allstate a year ago, only to return a short while later. The major reason I returned to this agency was Kevin and his absolute professionalism, knowledge and most importantly, truthfulness regarding my insurance needs. Using another agency re-enforced the value of Kevin and this agency. I don't sell insurance for a living and depend upon the knowledge of someone I trust to make sure the policies are right and aligned with my requirements, that's exactly what Kevin has done for me.

"All property insurance is subject to an Insurance Company inspection to determine condition of a risk. Unfortunately, the company inspection on your property revealed a substantial amount of negative conditions where the insurance company determined that they did not desire to insure the property. If the conditions were disclosed at time of application, the insurance would never have been placed until the hazards were corrected. If all negative conditions are fixed, you may reapply for coverage in the future. Thank you."

We are new to the New Jersey area, and found Miramar Insurance at Angie's List. Brian handled our situation from beginning to end. We told him we needed to find a home insurance policy for our new apartment, and he got back to us on a timely basis with very affordable coverage. He made it very easy for us by doing all the work and finding suitable coverage. He responded to all my phone calls and requests immediately. He made the whole process painless. In addition, he investigated our car insurance coverage for us. He didn't find a more affordable policy, and told us to stick with what we have. He could have tried to push something else on us, but instead he was honest and wanted us to get the best deal out there.
I understand why this agency is rated so high. I would highly recommend using Miramar for any of your insurance needs. Brian was knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. If we need to look into different insurance coverage in the future, this is the first agency I would call!

Paul was awesome. He found a number of home owner insurance policies for me. He thoroughly talked me through the pros and cons of each one. He didnt always push the most expensive one or the one with the most bells and whistles. He genuinely tried to get the best policy that met my needs.

Paul at Miramar was prompt and knowledgeable to us during the closing of our first home. Kevin Rudd, the broker at Miramar, took my call. After explaining that I wasn't happy with the insurance company I was dealing with, he searched for a company that would be a good fit for my insurance needs, spent a good deal of time on the telephone with Kevin and he took each call and was always professional. With his expertise, Kevin found a new insurance company for me and my husband, saving us about $400 annually, and with better coverage. Thanks to Angie's list, we once again were placed in good hands.

Since I was new to the area I got 3 quotes and Miramar was the lowest without sacrificing product quality. Paul asked a lot of questions and structured his quote based on multiple discounts and package policies. Don't confuse his price aggressiveness with taking short cuts. He's careful and conservative. The carrier is highly rated. Delivered what he said he would do and with professionalism. Will definitely use again.

Bravo to Paul Magalhaes for getting us both home and auto insurance for just a few hundred more than what we pay for on just our auto insurance alone. We are first time home buyers and everything can pretty overwhelming. We obtained our home and car insurance with Paul Magalhaes who was very helpful and informative in assisting us to better understand the different policies. It went fantastic. We had two previous quotes for insurance; Miramar beat them both by about 20%. Miramar specifically asked if we had or were getting a car, which we had not mentioned, and when we said we were planning on getting one after closing on the house, they steered us towards a very large and well-known insurance company which would also give us homeowners and car bundling rates, which we had not thought of.
Basically, they took all the pain and annoyance out. They asked us for the right information so the mortgage company was happy with the insurance, and they saved us a fair bit of money.
I sort of think of them as wholesalers, getting you a better price because they buy in bulk or negotiate for you or something like that. But they were also extraordinarily friendly on the phone and very responsive and knowledgeable. So it seems like we got the best part of wholesale and retail.
The person we worked with *really* likes explaining insurance products. I mean, he was willing to go into great detail about the various reputations of insurance firms, how much coverage we would need, which companies had performed well under the stress of Hurricane Sandy, and various other things. Quite the opposite of talking to some of the big companies we directly approached when we first got our quotes.
Overall, just about perfect.

We just completed the purchase of our first home, and three weeks before we closed we needed to sort our insurance. Online providers like homeinsurance.com didn't want to have anything to do with an older home (1921), I got a quote from Homesite through GEICO, until I read their appalling reviews, tried Amica, who wanted heaps of documentation up-front and who I found rather difficult to deal with. I finally looked on Angie's List and called Miramar and was very glad I did!
Paul Magalhaes took time to understand our needs, explained the home insurance products well, gave us better coverage than any other quote at around half the cost, with less documentation hassle. It really felt great to have a partner in the process rather than going alone against the insurance companies. I really feel like he was looking after our interests first and was less concerned about making a sale than treating us well and maintaining the reputation of his agency.
He also found cheaper and better car insurance for us (which we haven't switched to yet, but will shortly)!
After the initial difficulties in finding insurance, it was a real relief to find Miramar and Paul. I'd recommend them to anybody.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul Magalhaes at Miramar Insurance Agency and am kicking myself for not getting in touch with him sooner! I suspected that we were overpaying on our auto and home insurance policy for years, but was too lazy to shop around for other providers. I contacted Miramar in early July and within less than 24 hours Paul contacted me to get the process started and by mid-July our new insurance policies were in effect. I could not believe how easy Paul made the process and to top it off he saved us over $1500 per year on our combined auto and home policy!!! Frankly, I would have been happy with a savings of a couple of hundred dollars so was ecstatic to hear that we were able to save so much money. In addition, Paul took the time to review the policies and make sure that we were getting the appropriate coverage (turned out we were not adequately covered under our old policy, yet we were paying exorbitantly high premiums!). Paul was incredibly professional and helpful from beginning to end. I would highly recommend his services without hesitation.

i just refinanced, rates went up on my home insurance, i called Kevin to see if my current insurace company's quote was in line with other reputable companies. Kevin asked me to send him a copy of my most recent appraisal, h called me back to notify me that i had a solid policy and price to go along with it. Kevin recommended that i make a couple of changes and told me to stay put, that they were offering a very good package and price. Kevin was professional, and though he could of sold me another package with a couple of dollar difference, he put my best interest first.
