A-1 HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING CORP

The bad AC unit had frost/icing on the line outside going into the outside unit and he indicated that he could not repair that now and it probably be replaced which could be costly.  He then started working on the other unit and replaced a potentially failing part and charged $180 which was ($110 service charge plus $70 for the part).   So I'm out $180 and still don't have a working unit.  
Avoid this guy at all costs.

It was an extremely disconcerting experience. I am not sure what the answer is - I tried to check references; called different customers; met with 3 different companies. Let the buyer beware - you never know until it happens to you. I will never recommend this company and was terribly upset that they had such a good rating with Angies List. I have not used Angies List again.

After finding this company on Angie's List, I called, and my call was returned promptly. We received an estimate, proposal, and references the next day. The estimate was fair and honest. The technicians arrived promptly on the appointed date. They removed the old furnace, put down a slab, installed a new Rudd furnace and digital thermostat in one day, and completed the work on the humidifier the next morning. The technicians were polite, professional, pleasant, and extremely accommodating. The owner of the company visited and explained everything. Everything was cleaned up. The price matched the estimate. I will hire this company again for other work.

A-1 Heating & Air Conditioning were so very accommodating to our schedule. They really tried to inconvenience us a little as possible. These are great people who work there. Everyone we talked to was polite and friendly. Their price was fine. They installed a top of the line Ruud furnace and air conditioner.

A-1 Heating & Air Conditioning Corp is very reliable and always shows up when they say they will. I think their prices are very reasonable and they are always very neat and professional when they come. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

THE COMPANY WAS GOOD AT THEIR JOB. THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THEY FOUND SOME OTHER PROBLEMS WITH MY SYSTEM AND FIXED THEM WITHOUT ME ASKING. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND I THOUGHT THEY CHARGED A FAIR PRICE.
