Description of Work: Pruned back my cherry blossom tree. It looks great. Vic provided this service several years ago so I called him back to do it again. He is reasonable, professional, and they cleaned up all the debris. I recommended him to several neighbors and they were very pleased with his service as well.

They were on time, did what had been duscussed of and agreed on, was very flexible with new requests, and cleaned up so nicely as if nothing had ever happened in my yard except for the changes to the trees. Price was very reasonable too. I would recommend him to all my friends.
Description of Work: Removed 2 trees and 1 stud for me, trimmed some trees, removed some smaller plants, and cut short one tree.

Description of Work: Contractor removed a very large tree in my back yard, which was with in a few feet of my garage and two sheds. Not a single branch came in contact with any of my sheds or garage. I could not believe that this was possible. The job was done in the rain, which surprized me. They completed the job in less than a day. the clean up was great, like no one was ever here. So if you have a tree in tight quarters call vic's. Thank's Again Vic Richie L

 + -1 moreThe electricity in his entire town was down, and he had a rough time getting calls to his business. He had a rough time getting calls routed to his cell phone, but he was still extremely responsive. He always did exactly what was asked, and never overcharged.

 + -1 moreThey came out and gave an estimate and were real professional. We live in row houses where it is really tight; they were really controlled. They cut it all up in small pieces to carry between the houses back to the street so nothing was scratched on the houses as they went through. They ground it all up and totally cleaned up. They were done in four or five hours.

 + -1 moreWe have a pear tree that needs to be trimmed every two or three years. Luckily, we found Vic and been using his services for multiple trimmings. He provides a timely and written estimate. His crew is very professional, as they show up on schedule, perform professionally, and leaves the area clear of debris when completed. I've come to apprecaite Vic's ability to shape and re-shape the tree. The tree is now about 25 years old and it looks great thanks to Vic and his team.

 + -1 moreVic was great. We had a big tree in the back yard that was hit by lightning at some point in the past which split the trunk from top to bottom. It was half hollow inside and slowly dying. Since it was overhanging our garage quite a bit, it had to go. And just in time considering the wind we just had yesterday! We were able to schedule Vic to come pretty quickly and he showed up with his crew right on time. They made amazingly quick work of the tree and the stump. In about 2 hours everything was gone and you would never know there had been a tree there. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves and even blew the leaves out of the garage gutters. We would definitely hire Vic again and would recommend him to friends.

Description of Work: I linked up with my neighbor to get 3 trees trimmed and pruned.Purpose was to leverage the 2 jobs and try to save some money. Lots of dead branches left from the Oct 2011 storm. His estimate was the best of the 4 services called-- Downes was the highest at over 3000 (from angies list rated A)--.others were somewhat in line at 2000 to 2400. One thing i did learn was make sure each vendor quotes on the SAME large branches removal. I had branches going into power lines and some over my home. Cleaning and pruning I think is somewhat of an art but taking off the lower limbs has I think specific additional (or included) charges. For example,my neighbor was concerned about a town tree whose branch was over her driveway and to do just that branch was quoted at $125. Note she later checked with the town and they took care of the branch for free. Another reason we chose Vic's was we did use him before(business at a different address then- we think) and were pleased with his work. We gave him the job on Tues-he called thurs and said he would be here at 8:30 on Friday. Was on time, his 4 man crew went right to work and finished my 2 trees and cleaned up by noon. My trees look great and i am pleased with the work. I would use him again and recommend him without reservation. Note that he has an A rating with Angies- but only 7 reviews at this time of writing- don't let that discourage you.

 + -1 moreVic is great....While most tree services don't even call you back, Vic will return phone calls and shows up when he says he will. His prices are reasonable. One thing to note is that they roped the branches to the ground and didn't just let them drop. They also cleaned up after themselves. It was pretty amazing watching them work!
Description of Work: Cut down two trees and pruned a bunch of branches. The two trees that were cut were not accessible by the cherry picker...they were cut using ropes. One tree was quite large...the other leaned into the neighbor's yard.

 + -1 moreInitially I had trouble contacting Vic, so the work was not done as quickly as I wanted. He had given me a verbal estimate. I left him a voicemail asking him if he could leave me a written one. He didn't want to "waste a trip" and said he would come by with a contract and set a date for the tree removal. He kept calling my home phone although I had asked him to call my cell. He did finally reach me on my cell phone. We set up an appointment for him to come out with a written estimate/contract and remove the tree. The contract was the same as the estimate, so I had no problem with that. The price was very reasonable compared to other tree services. The work was done expertly and the cleanup was immaculate. I would use him again. Next time, I'll just set an appointment first.
Description of Work: Cut down large old pine that was dying. Took down to stump. Removed all debri and left mulch.

Description of Work: Vic's Tree Service showed up promptly as promised. Proceeded to removed a Magnolia that was much too close to the house & a dead Cherry from my neighbor's property that loomed over our driveway & back porch. Trimmed part of our neigbor's tree a huge Oak in front of our properties whose 4 very large limbs hovered over our house roof and a huge limb that was over our driveway; all were efficiently and expertly removed. They also trimmed two large Pines and a Maple. After all done they picked up all tree branch debris not just on my side but from my neighbors side as well. I was very pleased. Considering how much work was involved Vic's price was quite justr but we as consumers would always like a much lower price; realistically Vic & his team of 3 earned every cent.

 + -1 moreTHEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB TAKING CARE OF MY TREES. THEY CLEAN UP THEIR MESS WHEN THEY'RE FINISHED AND MY TREES LOOK WONDERFUL. THEY REMOVE MY SNOW IN THE WINTER BECAUSE IT IS THEIR SLOW TIME, BUT THEY WILL ALSO WORK WITH THE TREES IF THEY CAN.
