He then noted that the motor was going on the (10-year old) unit and, when I declined to pay the $275 to repair it - a decision with which he agreed - he suggested that he just take out the repaired clamp, charge us only the $70 for the appointment and then we could/should buy a new machine.  I appreciated his honesty (at that point) and that he arrived on short notice (within three hours of the initial call).  It turns out that before his visit, my dryer worked but made a very loud noise but was otherwise functional (according to the phone diagnosis of another Angie's List provider who seemed quite knowledgeable and whom I would consider using in the future).  After Frank left, it turns out that my dryer didn't work at all, so needless to say I wouldn't recommend him to anyone else....

After a day at the shore, I put a number of sandy towels in the washer and clogged the drain. A friend of mine recommend All Brand so I called them Monday morning. I got a recording, but they called back within an hour and came out to my house a half an hour after that. By noon, my washer was repaired. For the amount of time and work required, I thought the price was very good.

THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE FIRST WORKER THAT CAME WASN'T EXPERIENCED, BUT HE CALLED THE OFFICE AND HAD SOMEONE ELSE COME OUT AND SHOW HIM EXACTLY WHAT TO DO. THEY FIXED EVERYTHING VERY WELL AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES.

THE REPAIR PERSON HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING. IT TOOK THEM THREE MONTHS AND THEY STILL DIDN'T HAVE IT FIXED. I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK SINCE I HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY TO ACTUALLY FIX IT. I HAVE MADE LOTS OF PHONE CALLS, BUT THEY WON'T RETURN THEM.
