SPLINTERS HARDWOOD FLOORING

There was a time constraint to which the contractor agreed....3 days. The house was empty, we were in a hotel, and the furniture was in the Mayflower Movers' warehouse. We found, upon completion: 1: bubbled poly finish which has now hardened and the only solution is to re-sand and refinish 2: broom (?) bristles and some particulates embedded in the now-set poly. 3: patches of flooring where there was over-sanding, creating a 'dip' in the floor...reducing thickness of the hardwood planks. 4: molding and structure of kitchen island cracked and separated by collision with the sanding machine. Calls to "Splinters" were not returned...no remedial action ever taken by SPLINTERS who ignored all further calls and made no offers to remediate the sloppy work.

We were disappointed with the quality of the work and the way the workers left the house. The job took multiple days and at the end of each day they just dropped their tools and left. Didn't clean up any sawdust and left stuff all over. The floors don't look anywhere near as good as our next door neighbor who used a different contractor.
