Excellent. They were very professional and did the work a promised for a fair price. They removed a very large tree and restored my property to its previous condition, including part of a split rail fence. I would recommend them highly.

Ending first: Alfredo, the owner, owes me hundreds for damage he caused to my neighbor's car while his crew removed branches from a tree on my front lawn. A large branch came down and bounced on my neighbor's car, damaging the driver's side window. I called Alfredo, then sent him a letter with photos. A week later he called me, apologizing profusely, saying he would pay for the damage. Despite repeated attempts at reimbursement, he has not made good on his promise that he would put the cost on his own credit card if I took the car to an auto body shop to get repaired. He has dodged my phone calls and letters. How did it go: Alfredo, the owner, came out and gave me an estimate. I agreed and paid a $200 deposit. He told me I'd be contacted within a week to schedule the service. I called for three week, getting a runaround. The crew showed up on Friday morning, without notice, and Alfredo was there, insisting that he had called me. Not worth a fight; I said OK, the crew is here, let them work. I was specific that they not go on neighbor's property on both sides of my house. After a couple of hours I heard a lot of commotion from my front lawn; I went outside and four of the guys were attempting to bring down a very big, heavy branch. I asked if everything was OK and they said yes. I asked if they needed cars moved and they told me no. The next day my neighbor showed me his car, the damage, and a screwdriver that was left on top of the roof - an attempt by the crew to fix the window molding that was ripped off when the branches damaged the car. It's been over five weeks and I have been unable to get reimbursed for his crew's negligience, and subsequent damage, to my neighbor's car. Absolutely do not use this company. They are inept, scattered, disorganized, irresponsible, and most of all, dishonest. DO NOT USE TICOS TREE SERVICE.

Exactly as promised..

Overall went well. A line for my underground sprinkler was damaged part of the tree fell on the ground, but they came back to fix it in a few days for no additional charge.

The estimates were thorough and reasonable, he climbed up to our back hill and evaluated each tree. The work was scheduled quickly and went very well. They came on Saturday morning and finished the job by 3:30pm, and cleaned up all the debris afterwards.

We were very pleased with their work. Angelo was quite responsive when we contacted him for an estimate and came out quickly. He gave us what we thought was a reasonable and fair estimate. And he returned quickly to do the work once we hired him. The trimming of branches and the crowning was done exactly as he said it would be. I'm sure we'll be using Ticos in the future.

The crew that came was very prompt. They did a wonderful job. Everything that was supposed to be done was done in a professional and clean manner.
Guys were friendly and very polite, and they seemed to have a lot of knowledge about trees.
