Scott's Roofing & Siding

We needed a new roof and contacted Scott's after reading some good reviews. Called them and he came out the next day to look at the job and he left us a GAF book with samples. Thay contacted us a couple of days later with a price. They told us it would probably be a 2 day job (three at most) to remove the old roof and install new. Done in 2 days, great work, great clean-up. Could not have asked for more. A++++++++

Scott's provided us excellent service. Everything from setting up appointment (they have people that answer the phone)to estimate through completion was done professionally. During the estimate I noted we had a small leak and they investigated and patched even before they were hired. While they were repairing the roof they were clean and met their commitments. We have not had any issues or leaks since work was done. They protected plats and did a thou rough job of cleaning up. Owner or sons were always on site to supervise work. I would use again and recommend. They came to us on a recommendation from friends and did not disappoint.

They came out to the house as soon as they could (this was after Hurricane Sandy and every contractor in the area was overwhelmed with calls), did the job fast (but not rushed) and did it right. Cheerful, professional, and a fair price. I'd hire them again without reservation. They're great!

We were told that the job would take approximately 3 days and Scott kept his word. There were some minor concerns, which were quickly addressed. We are extremely satisfied with the work performed and the new siding, shutters and gutters look impressive. We have received numerous compliments from neighbors.

Everything was done right and on time. Two years ago a small leak developed which may or may not have been linked to the original job, and they came quickly and fixed the new problem at no charge. Unless the ownership has changed recently, I would definitely recommend them for roof work.

Overall, horrible-----I have two leaks(roof) in the same spot (obviously wasn't fixed right the first time) in two spots. I have a 10 yr warranty. We called them in august to fix both leaks . After threatening and yelling they showed up a few days before THANKSGIVING to fix the leaks. So much damage occur inside because they never fixed the leaks. I had them put two huge windows in my front. They sent a drunk guy(who no longer works for them) who never finished the job. He told me the outside of the windows were not included and it would cost me $300 for each to do the outside. 22 months later--they are still not completed. I told the owner all of this and got bunch of bull out of his mouth.
I had an awning fall in a snow storm(dec 2010). they replaced the awing(cause they got $$) but NEVER to this day repaired the damaged siding.I also informed the owner of this. He re-assured me all this was to be taken care of. Two of his sons(at different times) came to my house to see the damage and promised me it would be completed. Lies...They told me their father was going thru a bad divorce...oh well, i'm sorry but the customers have to suffer because of it? My house looks like crap because they do not honor their guarantees. My windows are NOT finished. My neighbors all remark how horrible they look--I make sure I tell them all who did it.
My siding is still all broken and my roof is not 100% fixed. Please people please, do not--under any circumstances use this company. They lie, they do not honor their work , their roofs leaks and their customer service and workers are horrible. They even bent one of my screens. This company is a nightmare. Please do not use them. They DO NOT own up to their guarantees or finish jobs. Don't count on them to repair their mess. I had to call a different gutter guy to fix my gutters. Please don't use this company. They are liars and do not fix any problems where they don't get paid. So now, I have a leaky roof, non finished ugly windows that let in so much cold air and broken siding all around my house. Scott's roofing is horrible. Bad. Own up to your repair problems. Get better employees. His one son told me he would fix the siding right away. he said and quot;I will come by even if I'm on another job and get off around 2pm to fix your sidingand quot; that was in nov 2011.... another lie. Don't trust anything that comes out of this company. It's a shame, because Years ago they were okay. What happened to them? This used to be a good company..what happened? It took a very very long time-more than anyone would put up with. But they finally fixed everything in early 2012. No one would have put up with this...by not fixing my leaks in over 3 months there was considerable damage inside the house. At least the buckets catching the water are gone.

They did it really quickly and were very clean. I was very happy with it, but there has been two leaks since. The first one, they fixed very quickly. They did not do flashing around the chimney. The second one occured recently. I have a ten year warranty. I have been trying to get them to come fix the leak in a part of the roof that they did not replace tar paper on a vertical part of the roof. I have a bad leak in my kitchen. I think they are good if you only want your shingles replaced. If you have anything else, I don't think you are going to be happy with them.

They were on time when they said they would be there. They had the job done in five hours the day they came over to work on the roof. They were friendly when they were there.

Started off great. Fast estimate, nice people and fairly speedy service. Window was broken during work, but replaced after I called. But the roof leaked when it rained, and caused minor damage in attic. I called several times, and had a contractor friend go up and look. There were problems with the work Scott's had done. They sent a man to look at it. He was not very nice about it. It took them two weeks, one fax and three phone calls before they came and fixed the job. Everything is fine now. They did a great job cleaning up and were very fast. They compounded what was probably an honest mistake by sending an unpleasant representative, and waiting two weeks while water dripped into my attic. Too bad. Otherwise a good experience.

Installed the wrong (smaller size) down-spout funnels; had to return to replace them. Field staff didn't know downspouts were in the job order. They began painting the new metal downspouts when that wasn't even requested; so they had to finish painting them--and did a poor job of it. They didn't even want to install the same number of braces on the porch downspouts (two) as were originally there until we pointed out the deficiency. Worst of all: The metal gutters leak at the corners onto our back walkway (freezing in winter). Called them several times to get someone to finally visit to assess the need to add caulk to the corners of the gutters. No one ever returned to do that 5-minute touch-up. During that visit, I pointed out that the re-lined built-in gutters are leaking above the picture window, and the guy didn't even want to check it out. Field staff is incompetent, but the secretary is cordial and efficient and probably deserves a raise. Get out of the gutter business.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH SCOTTS ROOFING. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ALWAYS STUCK TO THE TASK AT HAND. I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY TO MY NEIGHBORS WHO HAVE HIRED SCOTTS ROOFING TO WORK ON THEIR ROOF.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE THEY PROVIDED. THEY WERE ALL HARD WORKERS. THEY CLEANED THE YARD BEFORE THEY LEFT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO FRIENDS.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS VERY POSITIVE. THEY WERE VERY EASY TO TALK TO AND ABLE TO DO EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH SCOTT'S ROOFING.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH. IT TOOK A WHILE FOR THEM TO ACTUALLY ARRIVE AT MY HOUSE. WHEN THEY FINALLY CAME, THEY WERE LATE.

THEY DID A REALLY GREAT JOB REPAIRING THE DAMAGED AREA OF OUR HOME. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, CLEAN, AND THOROUGH. WE WOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO USE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

NOT ONLY DID THEY PERFORM VERY HIGH QUALITY WORK ON MY HOME, BUT THEY WERE ALSO ONE OF THE LEAST EXPENSIVE COMPANIES IN THE AREA. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THAT OTHER PEOPLE USE SCOTT'S ROOFING.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE. THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE ROOF AND GUTTERS ARE IN TOP SHAPE. THERE WAS NO PROBLEMS THAT THEY COULD SEE AT ALL.
