I called Strathmore after finding it on Angie's List with an A rating. they were very local and available for emergencies, that is a plus.  it was an emergency; we woke up to a cold house.  I found that our neighbor is a long standing customer who recommend them highly.  So I called.  The phone was pleasantly answered by Rini who sympathized with our issue, asked a few quick questions and said someone would be out between 11AM and 2PM.  That was at 9:30 AM.. Before 11:00 AM, Rob from Strathmore Air was greeting me pleasantly at the door with a smile, handshake and introduction.  before 11:30 he was gone and my home was warming nicely.  Rob quickly found the problem, had a replacement part put in and stayed around to make sure the furnace kicked on and the house temperature was warming.
He saw the air filter needed replacement and put in a new one also.  I asked him about the humidifier that is installed and he offered suggestions, checked the water line and said he would send out more information and an estimate for future work, if we so decide.  Not knowing prices, I can only say I'm glad the problem was a minor one, although providers fees always seem too high to me.  But our house is warm. I would definitely use them in the future, and hopefully will not need any additional furnace repair for quite a while.
