"Unfortunately Ms. [Member Name Removed] misunderstood that the price did not include staining, she said she was handy and could do it herself. She paid me for the completed work of installing the doors, that was 2 years ago."
He was very considerate.
Keep in mind that this description of his work is in "layman's terms". He would probably describe it accurately using all the right technical terms....Chris started by caulking the top of the dining window & on the siding above it. He inserted a metal barrier underneath the siding where the siding meets the roof. Then he bent the metal up & over the siding where the water had been entering the home. He folded it over the top of the dining room window. Chris fastened the metal permanently to the house. This barrier will make it impossible for the water to enter into my house as it did before.
He painted the barrier to match my original siding. Chris also went on top of the roof & checked around for damage & repaired it.
I was shocked when I saw his workmanship! He really lives up to his company name...A Kennedy PERFECTION!
When I came home from work that evening to see what he did, I really believed he hadn't been there because his work was so perfect & seamless that you couldn't even tell he'd worked there. He matched the new siding with the old flawlessly. He didn't leave a spec of debris behind.
This was a tricky job. It's not easy to keep water out of your house once it finds a way in. Chris was up for the challenge & I am extremely impressed by his creative, solution-oriented thinking, his meticulous workmanship & his professionalism.
I highly recommend A Kennedy Perfection.
"I am very sorry for the miscommunications between us but in response to your comments, you left out a few very important details as to what actually happened: 1. The stain I applied on your deck was purchased by you. I did tell you I use a different product, one which costs a little more, but I know it to be a good stain and could guarantee it because I have used it before with no problems. You insisted I use the product you had purchased. 2: Yes, it did rain sometime after I stained the deck, however there was enough time for the deck to dry before it had begun to rain. The stain did not wash away from the rain it peeled because it was a cheap product. As far as responding to the call when you had stated there was a problem, I did return your call shortly after I received it and explained why this might have happened, after all the deck was cleaned and power washed the day before the application so it was done properly. If you scroll down to April 8 2012 and reread your report you had given me for the other projects I had done for you in 2011, it states and I quote” performed service efficiently, at a faire, extremely meticulous and neat, with a grade of all A’s. I take much pride in the work I do and try to give a fair price for the quality of work that is performed. As you can see from other members reviews they are mostly all the same using the same adjectives to describe my work,” perfectionist and professional craftsman”, “professional and reasonable quote”,” timely and courteous work”, “top notch materials”,” honest”, “reliable”, “polite’, “clean”, “punctual” “thorough” . As far as the new projects you called me for, all work to be performed is by calendar. I did come out in May and evaluated what you wanted done and at that time I told you I would take care of the deck because you had also mentioned that you wanted to enlarge the deck, which I then said I would restain when the rest of the work was completed. I called you twice after we met to schedule when the work was to be done, then I received your call stating you had found someone else to do the work. With respect, I did return your call and two weeks later I received your negative report through Angie’s List. Due to miscommunications and my very busy work schedule I am sorry that this situation has occurred. Chris A Kennedy Perfection"
We agreed on a date to get the work done, he was very punctual on the day, got started, no fuss or bother, replaced the bricks, did some re-pointing, took out the old flashing and replaced it with new. He also, without being asked or charging, saw that our gutters were strewn with debris, cleaned them out, given that we were about to get Hurricane Sandy.
We were very pleased with his timely and courteous work and manner, the job was done in good time and given a rigorous testing by the hurricane and now snow storm. No drips or leaks to report, the chimney is still standing and in perfect repair, outstanding!
