Of four bed and breakfasts we have stayed in Ocean Grove and Belmar over the last several years, this was by far the best.
The innkeepers are a lovely couple who truly make you feel welcome and comfortable. Mary Ellen and Eric obviously care about providing a high-quality experience for their guests. The inn was clean, inviting and attractively furnished, and not overly cluttered with decor, as some places tend to be. The food was delicious, and clearly carefully prepared and homemade. Eric's coffee was so good I indulged in far more than my usual single cup.
The Sea Spray is one short block from the beach, and directly across from a large lake. Unlike most B & Bs, they have TV and DVD players in their rooms, and have cold beverages available for guests. I feel a little put off when places cheap out on amenities, but this is definitely not the case with the Sea Spray. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable visit with no regrets!
