About us
Vince Rambala grew up with dogs and spent most of his time learning how to train. Tired of seeing abusive trainers, he searched for and adopted a methodology using gentle, positive reinforcement as well as good old common sense. He apprenticed with a professional trainer and volunteered in an animals shelter for several years. 1992, he took his extensive knowledge and love for animals and became a professional dog trainer. Vince is the proud owner of two rescue dogs, Wyatt and Hope. Vince uses the animal's natural behavior and instincts to achieve responses. Choke chains and prong collars are never used. The goal is for your dog to be a valued member of your family and welcomed everyone you go. Your dog should show no aggression and you should be able to touch your dog everywhere - ears, nails, etc. Vince's dog sleep on the bed and the couches. Spoiling your dog is fine - aggression is not. Vince is a certified New Jersey Animal Control Officer and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. He is proud to be a member of the Ringwood Volunteer Fire Company #1 Stonetown.

Our 75 lb. lab mix came from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky, where it had been taken prematurely from its mother and was never properly socialized. So, while he has always been a big, lovable mush with his immediate family, his personality around other people and dogs, well, frankly, not so good.
Attempts with three other trainers and an overpriced animal-behaviorist did absolutely nothing.
Vince was completely different. His ability to communicate with dogs is nothing short of miraculous, and his love of the animals (including his own perfectly behaved pets) is evident. He doesn't make you feel like an idiot for not being able to control your pet (which did happen with other trainers), and all the other members of the class were helpful and supportive.
We've seen a huge improvement in just a short period of time, and we expect it's only going to get better!
The obedience school was simply great. Vince was given training sessions seven days a week, at times, for years now. He is familiar with all the characteristics of the different breeds and is able to diagnose and suggest changes in behavior that take care of any unwanted behavior. We asked about feeding, walking, sleeping, training and a whole array of questions and he had a good answer for anything we could think of. He also gave handouts as to exercises for between classes, assignments for what to train on and his contact information for any follow up questions. Couldn't ask for more.
He includes his own 2 dogs at the training. They have been with him for several years as shelter dogs and are accusomted to people and other dogs. They are an example of what be\aved dogs can do.
We signed up for additional classes. As part of the normal training, he demonstrates and takes the puppies through some agility moves and people can sign up for training in just this area, if they desire.
I am so very happy that we took our dog for training classes with Vince Rambala and highly recommend him.
His ability to work with dogs is outstanding. He brings out the playfullness in dogs that are shy and tames the rough edges of the ones that need it.
He also has agility classes that he introduces into the program, but they are available as a separate course. The dogs gain confidence in handling themselves in overcoming obstacles.
From puppies months old to the older dogs that simply were never properly trained to dogs that were rescued from the pound and need to be introduced to the home and family.
I would heartily recommend his service to any dog owner.
