I contacted John on Mon 1/23 to explain the work that I needed done. He seemed very savvy about the job to fix the ductwork to my bathroom vents as well as a doorbell transformer. John told me he would contact me on Thurs 1/26 (between 8am-9:30am) to setup an appt to visit my home that afternoon for an estimate. No call back from John on the morning of 1/26 so I left John a message at 10:30am on 1/26. We finally spoke later on 1/26 and John said that he would come out on Fri 1/27 at 10am to my house to work up the estimate and do the work that afternoon. I changed my schedule to be home all day to accommodate John on 1/27. On 1/27 at 10:30am John called and cancelled due to emergent work. Additionally, he said that he was uncertain that he wanted to take the job at all as he seemed like he had reservations. I asked him to be upfront with me as he wasted a lot of my time and I felt like I was not getting the courtesy that I deserved. In the end, John decided that he was not interested in quoting or performing the work that needed to be done in my home. He wasted a lot of my time, hindered me from looking for another contractor and I got nothing accomplished. He provided no courtesy to my schedule or credibility other than knowledge expressed over the phone about the job (which was great & why I hoped this would work out). He made commitments that he did not follow through on and wasted my time. Something to add about our Thurs 1/26 conversation. During the conversation, John was more interested in my attic insulation and previous mold issue, which had been remediated by a certified professional 2 years ago. This came up in the conversation based on questions John asked me so he could get background info on my attic for the job he committed to quoting me on. This was out of scope of what I needed John's help with and I told John that. Additionally, I explained to John that the attic was safe and I had the documentation to prove it. I would have provided him a copy if he wanted me to.

Everything went as scheduled. Arrived when expected and finished when expected. Professional all all times.

I called on Monday, contractor got right back to me. Work was scheduled for that Thursday, and contractor arrived on time, gave me prices for work after I showed him around. He then returned a few hours later as promised and did the work quickly, cleanly and professionally. He also took the time to explain what he was doing and how he was pricing it. A ceiling fan (without any wiring or boxes in place) was installed and two flush-mount hallway fixtures, one over a stairwell. Very happy with work!

I told you everything, and was very satisfied.

The owner performed the work himself. He was very concerned about safety and left the wring in our basement looking better than it had been even before the fire.

He was good. I spent something like $300 on that service and it was reasonable. He did a good job of blending in. It was easy to work with him and he understood right away what needed to be done. He did something that other workmen rarely do, which was that he saw the manual and researched himself how to properly do it rather than depending on the home owner or past experience. When they do that I know that they are good. The price was fine. He got the work done in a day.

My wife and I were very impressed with John and his work. He kept us informed the entire process of trying to locate the specific breaker to my house. John worked all of his time at our house outside normal business hours and we were so grateful. We were very impressed with the quality of his work, professionalism and price. We will be definitely using Rowling in the future to do any electrical work around our house and recommending him to our friends/family.

The work went very quickly and cleanly. The price was very reasonable and matched the estimate I received. I highly recommend using Rowling Thunder Electric. John explained every detail of the job so I understood everything. I usually ask a bunch of questions, but he covered everything he was going to do, thoroughly and in terms I understood.
