"Poison Ivy Gone does recommend and offer a maintenance program. You were not charged for nor provided a maintenance visit, it was an address error that a Technician knocked on your door for a maintenance visit and was sent away. We would be more than happy to provide a Fall Maintenance visit when we have a signed copy of the agreement you were provided in June for periodic maintenance visits. Thank you for your review and the opportunity to address your request and schedule a visit."
"Mr. [Member name removed], Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of our service. We really appreciate customers like you. It was a pleasure working with you. Thank you, Poison Ivy Gone"
Approximately 2 weeks after the initial removal, we noticed more poison ivy growing back in the area where the bush was removed. I called back and explained the issue. I did not get an immediate answer as to whether the additional removal needed was included in the scope of the original contract. However, after sending pictures, they promptly squeezed us into the schedule and came and removed the remaining vines. I have not seen any ivy pop up since and if it does I know who to call...
I would recommend if you have constant issues with regrowth to invest in the maintenance plan.
"(removed member name), thank you so much. We're glad that you are happy with our work. Thank you for your business and thank you for your kind words, it's very encouraging for the crew that did the work to know that you are satisfied. Thanks again!"
Matt (the manager) pointed out to me a pine tree on my neighbor's property that had a hugh poison ivy vine all the way up the trunk also (I intend to speak to that owner because it is close to my property and the berries and seeds can spread easily back.) The fencing around my backyard as well as a composter and a beautiful boulder was cleared of all vines.
I know there is still poison ivy still intermingled in the periwinkle that my husband planted to hold soil on our hill after we had an in-ground pool installed many years ago. I intend to have the company come back again to keep it in check and make sure it does not spread as far and as high as it did.The whole property and fence areas look so much better now. I had begun to be embarrassed at how neglected some of the edges of my property was starting to look because of the vines getting out of hand!
Matt, the salesman/manager was knowledgeable about plants and their biology and growth and shared willingly without making me feel like he was trying to scare-monger me or sell his services too hard. He was also respectful of my opinion and some previous knowledge I had of poison ivy and vines (I was the owner of an organic lawncare company for 10 years .)
My only criticism, which is as much my fault as their's, is that some periwinkle removal that I spoke to Matt about when we discussed what I wanted, was overlooked. But that is only because other issues popped up as the work was being done and were dealt with within the time frame Matt gave me. In the future, I would get all the specific issues mentioned in the contract so that there is no question what the priorities are. (Good for the customer as well as the contractor!)
Employees were extremely polite, professional, efficient and conscientious, thoroughly examining every inch of our large pachysandra beds for any trace of ivy. Large host vines were discovered and removed from a large oak tree in the front of the property and another on the side of the property. Ivy was also discovered on the side of a neighbor's house. All ivy was removed along with their root systems. We haven't had a problem since.
The first time we used this company we were living in another residence in Summit, NJ. Ivy had infiltrated a large garden in our back yard. Our experience was excellent. They responded quickly and successfully removed all ivy in our yard as well as ivy that had spread into a neighbor's yard. Ivy did not return the following year.
We were so pleased with their work in the past, we called them back when we discovered ivy at our new residence in Convent Station, NJ. I highly recommend this company. Good work, fellas!
"Thank you so much for your kind words. I will pass them on to the crew. Thank you!"
