Fine, they were here for four hours. Removed poison ivy from roof and chimney top. Includes follow up treatment.

We used them two years ago and they were top notch.  Went above and beyond to cut vines spreading poison ivy seed outside the area of our yard.  Totally different experience this year.  Two guys were sent and arrived 1 1/2 hour after appointment time.  I would not really mind, but it was at the end of the day and they rushed the job.  They were in and out in about a little oven an hour.  They left many patches of poison ivy and were nowhere near as thorough as they were previously.  We were very disappointed in the service this year.We used them two years ago and they were top notch. We were told we had to do a service contract where they would come out to remove poison ivy throughout the season.  Also, would have been fine with me, by I was under the impression that they would do a clean sweep of all poison ivy on the first visit and then maintain...... not remove the poison ivy over 5 sessions through the season.  We were very disappointed this year.

Response from Poison Ivy Gone
"Poison Ivy Gone does recommend and offer a maintenance program. You were not charged for nor provided a maintenance visit, it was an address error that a Technician knocked on your door for a maintenance visit and was sent away. We would be more than happy to provide a Fall Maintenance visit when we have a signed copy of the agreement you were provided in June for periodic maintenance visits. Thank you for your review and the opportunity to address your request and schedule a visit."

Before the removal occurred, a member of their team  came and walked the property to give a detailed estimate.  It was about 2-3 weeks before they could come and do the removal.  On that day, the team arrived and got right to work.  We spoke with the foreman to make sure he was aware of the trouble spots and they hit them all.
Approximately 2 weeks after the initial removal, we noticed more poison ivy growing back in the area where the bush was removed.  I called back and explained the issue.  I did not get an immediate answer as to whether the additional removal needed was included in the scope of the original contract.  However, after sending pictures, they promptly squeezed us into the schedule and came and removed the remaining vines.  I have not seen any ivy pop up since and if it does I know who to call...
I would recommend if you have constant issues with regrowth to invest in the maintenance plan.

Very imprrssed on first visit and the initial quote was fair but then the final quote was very expensive.  Opted not to do the whole job and they charged $500 to remove poison ivy from one small patch of land.

Went very well.  They sent one man, John, who worked for 5 hours one day and came back for another 5 hours the next day.  He removed vines and placed in big plastic bags.  He raked up litter from the removal and even used a shovel to grade some soil that was loosened because of the pulling of the vines.  He actually helped me find the property marker for one of the back corners of the property so we could make sure that all the unwanted brambles and vines were removed on my property. The two hugh poison ivy vines that had made it all the way up the trunks of the two trees were cut and the cuts were "painted" with the herbicide.  He removed the vines (non-poison ivy ones) that were climbing up several tree trunks and vining from bushes to trees and trees to trees. Vines were removed as high as 10 feet (the ones higher that that will die since they were cut lower on the trees.)
Matt (the manager) pointed out to me a pine tree on my neighbor's property that had a hugh poison ivy vine all the way up the trunk also (I intend to speak to that owner because it is close to my property and the berries and seeds can spread easily back.) The fencing around my backyard as well as a composter and a beautiful boulder was cleared of all vines.
I know there is still poison ivy still intermingled in the periwinkle that my husband planted to hold soil on our hill after we had an in-ground pool installed many years ago.  I intend to have the company come back again to keep it in check and make sure it does not spread as far and as high as it did.The whole property and fence areas look so much better now.  I had begun to be embarrassed at how neglected some of the edges of my property was starting to look because of the vines getting out of hand!
Matt, the salesman/manager was knowledgeable about plants and their biology and growth and shared willingly without making me feel like he was trying to scare-monger me or sell his services too hard.  He was also respectful of my opinion and some previous knowledge I had of poison ivy and vines (I was the owner of an organic lawncare company for 10 years .)
My only criticism, which is as much my fault as their's, is that some periwinkle removal that I spoke to Matt about when we discussed what I wanted,  was overlooked. But that is only because other issues popped up as the work was being done and were dealt with within the time frame Matt gave me.  In the future, I would get all the specific issues mentioned in the contract so that there is no question what the priorities are.  (Good for the customer as well as the contractor!)

We are very pleased with this company and their work.  The company responded immediately to my phone call.  Estimate given within a day and work performed within three days of phone call.  All work completed in one day by two employees.
Employees were extremely polite, professional, efficient and conscientious, thoroughly examining every inch of our large pachysandra beds for any trace of ivy.  Large host vines were discovered and removed from a large oak tree in the front of the property and another on the side of the property.  Ivy was also discovered on the side of a neighbor's house.  All ivy was removed along with their root systems.  We haven't had a problem since.
The first time we used this company we were living in another residence in Summit, NJ.  Ivy had infiltrated a large garden in our back yard.  Our experience was excellent.  They responded quickly and successfully removed all ivy in our yard as well as ivy that had spread into a neighbor's yard.  Ivy did not return the following year.
We were so pleased with their work in the past, we called them back when we discovered ivy at our new residence in Convent Station, NJ.  I highly recommend this company.  Good work, fellas!

They were expensive but they were good. Dressed in outfits they use to protect themselves.  They want to come back 3 times this summer.  They removed so much poison ivy, all over my fence and yard. I didn’t know I even had that much in my yard.
