He is very timely, thorough and honest. He even came at night to fix our water heater. I would definitely suggest him.

Both times they came promptly and did the work cleanly (which I love) and efficiently. Their fees are in line with what you would expect to pay, very reasonable. I will not hesitate to call them again!

I might be in love with John the plumber. He is always responsive and gets the job done while being super nice about it. He doesn't even laugh when we stupidly mess up our own house. Thanks for that John. Thanks. Overall, I like this company because they have been reliable and competent.

Our old boiler expansion tank sprung a leak so we needed to replace it asap. In the mean time we had a power outage and had no heat or electricity for two days due to the Noreaster. So as soon as the power came on, I called Mainline upon recommendation from a worker at Palermo Plumbing Supply in Norwood, NJ. They responded promptly and two guys showed up. They went back and purchased the appropriate tank from Palermo, came back and proceeded to attach the tank and bleed the boiler. They charged me $300 including the cost of the tank ($60 at Palermo's). They spent about half an hour working on the boiler and half an hour driving back and forth to Palermo's and my house. The hourly rate they said was $200. They also mentioned that the pump to the boiler was making a noise and may need replacing if the boiler didn't work. As they were leaving, I asked the guys how long it would be before the radiators would start to get warm and they said about a half hour. About 2 hours later, late in the evening, we still didn't have any heat. When I called Mainline, I was told that it was probably due to the pump malfunctioning and they would come out early the following morning to replace it for $400, a $50 discount from an earlier quote by the workers. When I recounted this to my husband who was at work at the time, he asked me to go down and check whether the pilot light on the boiler was lit and to see whether the lights corresponding to the thermostats were red or green. It turned out that the pilot light was not lit and the lights were all red (of course). I followed the instructions on the boiler and with the help of my husband over the phone managed to light the pilot light. Lo and behold, the boiler started to work and we got heat in the house, which was much appreciated by my four young kids who were walking around up until then in their jackets and socks. Why didn't the experts light the pilot and make sure everything was OK before leaving or leave instructions to light the pilot if it went out? I was standing behind them when they did the work and I didn't see them light it.
