After signing the contract we expected to hear back from Mitchel about seeing a sample of the color of an external flashing piece but we didn't see it (it was right before Christmas). Also, he agreed that the factory would custom paint the exterior and internal grid of the window to match our exact paint - then after weeks we got a call saying that couldn't do it. I was pretty upset but since the Almond color they could paint is so close to our trim color we decided to just go with their standard color.
We thought about cancelling our order all together but they convinced us to consider all options and upon doing so we looked around to see possibilities for painting the grid. As I mentioned we did like Mitchel a lot and decided that the color he offered instead of original was close enough and we decided to move ahead with some pretty cool looking windows (possibly the nicest we saw).
The windows have not yet arrived, we're still waiting for an installation date, but we anticipate the rest going smoothly and I look forward to finishing the review with stellar points for Mitch and his team. I would recommend Windows Wholesalers to anyone looking for replacement windows - great prices and a super knowledgeable owner who is a great guy. Oh and did I mention amazing prices for great windows?!!
The Good: The installers (Jay and team) were very professional, very fast, thorough, polite and clean. When they left everything looked great. I would use the installers again. They finished 20+ windows in 9 hours flat. Amazing. These guys prevented me from giving the company a much lower grade.
The Bad: The company wanted to install the windows (originally) the day before Thanksgiving, and when I wanted a different date AND asked for something else, Jill (who works in the office) yelled at me like I'd greatly offended her. I asked to deal with another person and to talk to Mitch, the owner. He never called back. Also, when the owner sold me the deal, he said cold months would be no problem because they pop out a window and put in the new one right away. In reality, they have to take out every window and then install them all - so my house dropped to 30 degrees inside for a few hours until the windows were all installed 9 hours later. Would have been nice if they told me that up front, but of course that would have been bad for their business.
Extremely hostile ?front office? when there is a misunderstanding or confusion, in our case after a contract was signed. This
was one of the nastiest people I?ve dealt with in any manner. Without getting into detail, my wife was accused of being a liar, told she was trying to not pay her bill and told good luck with legal fees when she expressed desire to cancel the project and then she was hung up on. My phone call prompted a similar experience. All when trying to deal with a simple misunderstanding. The amount of un-professionalism and lack of customer service is still astounding to us.
Read their contract (as you should always do) and make amendments as you see fit to protect yourself. As it stands it?s structured to protect them and not you. Take notice to the finale payment due on delivery?this should be changed to on completion. Observe that final payment can only be made via cash or certified check despite initial payment can be made via credit card, this is what caused our tremendous amount of grief. Also take note the storage fee of $85/day if delivery is refused. Ask why delivery would be refused, I?d be interested to hear the spin put on that. After our experience we wanted to refuse.
After completion, the windows seem decent, were priced decently and the install went smoothly after being rescheduled by them. The gentlemen installing the windows were professional and quick. I would NEVER contact this company in the event warranty service is needed, I?d prefer to go directly to the manufacturer or pay someone else.
I will never do business with them again no matter the price. I?d prefer to pay more to go with a company (big box or a local
contractor) that you know you can trust and will be treated with respect as a customer should be and won?t make you feel as if you made a mistake in choosing them. The only reason our job proceeded was because they already had some of
our money and we greatly feared being rescheduled as we were threatened with already or possibly worse and never getting done at all and losing our money. Read other reviews and you will see similar experiences, all negative reviews are
centered on customer service. I have already deterred one friend away (15 windows and a bay window) from this company and will continue to warn friends, family and anyone that will listen.

After we reviewed the reviews and the majority of them were on the worse side. Then, just to get the thing cancelled I could totally understand what the people were complaining about. Who knows, maybe after they did the install it would have been fine but I shouldn't have had to go through the hassle that I went through and then expect installation would be okay. What if during installation they hit an issue or during installation there was a delay what we would have to deal with that then. The process was a lesson learned for me.
Looked everywhere for an affordable price and a company with a good reputation. I own several rental units and one in particular needed windows replaced badly. After exhausting all of my efforts, a fellow landlord referred to Mitch at Window Wholsalers. I found Mitch to be very knowledgeable, affable and a very pleasant man to work with. I explained I needed several windows replaced but I'm working with a somewhat limited budget. We agreed on a price and expected start and completion date. He and crew not only completed said work in a day, but saved me money in the process. Here we are a month later and I couldn't be happier.
202. Caulking was missing all over.
3. Called up to complain and they ignored my calls.
4. They have NO BUSINESS address. They can only be dealt with by phone.
5. Almost all of my windows had slow interior leaks.
6. Incurred major interior damages from the slow leakage such as mold damage.
7. Company salesperson is the owners wife. She is a absolute disgrace.
8. Mitch took over the business from his dad. The installers did nothing but complain about the owners.
9. I have hired many contractors and really had no issues. This company was a disaster.
10. I had to pay another contractor to come out and re install all of the windows correctly.
RUDE - IGNORANT - NO PROFESSIONALISM - CAN GET A HOLD OF THEM UNLESS THEY HAVE A CHECK TO PICK UP
If you need windows and are shopping for the cheapest prices. You are better off putting up a piece of plywood rather than hiring this shoddy outfit.
Absolute disgust. I will take them to court and will not stop until I get justice!!
I want to be paid back for the tens of thousands of dollars I spent fixing all the damage!! I will incur legal costs with no limit until I get fairly compensated.
The sub contractor also did not follow the guide lines of the contract. He did not replace the wooden framing around my windows, he just threw out the old wood. I have had both of the insurance companies for the sub contractor and WINDOW WHOLESALERS come out and examine the damages. WINDOW WHOLESALERS does not stand by their product and the insurance will not replace the windows just repair the damages to my home from the windows. I have to find another company to replace the windows and try to repair the poor work that was done over 2 years ago.
