Very well. The prior roofer said we need a new (slate) roof at about $10,000. Molnar made a few small patches and found the small hole that the prior roofer could not find. Bill was only about $2,000.

Molnar Roofing did a thorough job fixing my roofing leak quickly and efficiently. They were a pleasure to work with and explained every step. Price was more than fair. I would definitely use their services again!

I'm very pleased to have worked with Steven on this project. I recently purchased a 100 year old home and the slate roof that, while in decent shape, needed some TLC in spots and the chimney needed recapped (which turned out to be a little tricky because of it's age and odd size). Everything worked out great and, while I don't want to have to keep bringing him back, I would keep using Steven to help keep this old roof in tip top shape.

The gutter rebuild is great, and they arrived and performed it as soon as they had a clear weather day. Our contract included cleanup, and the job wasn't initially fully cleaned, but once I brought this back up, they arrived quickly and finished the job; I think getting it right matters to them, and in the end they were willing to do whatever necessary to make sure everything ended positively.

I called Steve to repair some minor damage to the roof and ridge vent he installed 13 years ago.  I also asked him to remove an old attic ventilating fan which no longer worked.  He contacted me several times to change the time he would do this small job do to weather and big job timing.  I am retired so I was very flexible. The job was done by one of his people who had many years of experience and seemed to do things correctly. I did not go on the roof to check. Everything was cleaned up neatly after they were done.  You can hardly tell where the patches are.

This was a small Job and we had called 4 other roofers that did not want to take the job and never even called us back. Molnar called us back right away and came to the house within 2 days to look at the roof and give us an estimate.  He went to the roof and showed us pictures of where the leak was coming from and what he would do to fix it.  He worked with us on the price and did the job quickly.  He also provided us with pictures of the finished work so we could see that he did what he told us he would do.  We were happy with the work and so far after the rainfall over the weekend we have no leaks.  I would recommend him and use him again.

Excellent, no problems. All work was done professionally and the roofers were strickly business. After the job was done, they brought me up to the roof, explained  what was done. What they were done, theyn cleaned up and left the area around the house as before they started to work. I would recomend Molnar Roofing  to anyone.

Steve was extremely responsive to my initial request for a bid.  He showed up when he said he would and always returned my phoencalls.  He is an extremely nice guy, very professional and his price was in line with the other people I contacted.  He told me he had a two week lead time and once I contracted to have the services performed his guys were at my house in just under two weeks.  We have a slate roof so I specifically looked for someone who has experience in that and am very happy with the outcome.  My contract included many elements from cleaning out a clogged gutter to replacing some missing slates as well as patching a hole and taking care of other general roof maintenace.  I couldn't be happier with the outcome and my experience in working with Steve and his guys. Chris, his main slate guy, was also extremely professional and courteous.  Everything was cleaned up when they were finished.  Highly recommended.

It took awhile for him to be able to schedule an appointment though he was always very responsive to phone calls and to letting me know when he would be able to come. It was a busy time trying to schedule. The workers were very competent and professional. Steve came a little later to review and discuss the job. I think they did a good job. We had damage to the ceiling under the leak and Steve instructed thoroughly how to proceed. Will be using them again to work on the whole roof which is an 85 year old slate roof. My only issue was with the price, but I had heard from another reviewer that he was high and it's very hard to find competent slate roof repair. I have been through two over the years. Hopefully the extra I spent on this will be saved in no longer needing ceiling repairs. Will definitely use him for regular maintenance.

Used Molnar again for overall roof repairs. Again they were very thorough and did a great job. Pricing with this second job was excellent.

The main problem was scheduling.  The Hurricane occurred at the end of October; I first contacted Molnar shortly thereafter, and it took 6 months before the work got done.  To be fair, there was a lot more urgent restoration to be done in NJ after the hurricane, but I felt that I kept dropping off their to-do list and that I had to keep reminding them.
Still, when they did get to the job, they were competent, cordial and easy to work with.
I  had used Molnar before and would readily do so again.

They did good work and I was satisfied with the project.  They will becoming back out soon to review with the home inspector.

Overall experience was great. Steve came out within a few days of contacting him to give an estimate. He's got great knowledge of roofs and clearly understands slate. His team started working the next day, were fast and cleaned up after themselves, and were done in three or four hours.

They were fast. They did the job pretty fast and they cleaned up after themselves. I thought they gave good service. It was a difficult situation to deal with slate roof.

After contact contractor inspected the roof and explainned what needed to be done and the cost.
He had to wait for the weather to cooperate before he started his work. He completed the job in one day.  So far there are not leaks.

We called Molnar Roofing for an estimate on fixing our 90+year old slate roof which was missing tiles and starting to leak. Stephen Molnar stopped by the same day,surveyed the problem, and gave us a written estimate. His extensive experience with slate roofs came through in the discussion. Three days later his team came to fix the roof. The day long job ended up uncovering a few more fragile tiles which his team fixed. They cleaned up all of the slate shards and left the roof in much better condition. They were prompt,professional and cleaned up the surroundings well. We will use them again (it?s in the nature of old slate roofs to need maintenance) and recommend them.

Shingles blew off our roof during Hurricane Sandy. We called Molnar Roofing and left a message that we wanted an estimate for repairs. We received a prompt call back with an explanation that repairs were being handled in the order they were contacted. There was a long list ahead of us and they asked to be notified if we went with another company before they could get to us. We called and left a message every 4 weeks or so and always received a call back within a day assuring us we were still on the list. We got a call this month, Steve came and gave us a no pressure recommendation/estimate. Assured us that our roof was overall in good repair, left it up to us to decide which repairs we wanted completed. We decided to have all the repairs made since Steve explained what he observed and why each was recommended. Steve's crew came, completed the repairs. They and Steve assured us if there were any problems to call and they would promptly address the issue. It was such a pleasure to deal with this company. They were upfront about the wait to have repairs made, returned all phone calls were professional and did a great job. W would highly recommend this company.

I got the Molnar contact information from Angie's List and was delighted that the experience was as good as every other I've had with businesses on the site.
The response was quick, and respectful and while I wouldn't have realized if the job was described as bigger and more expensive, that's not what happened. I was surprised that the fee was as small as it was.
The current owners of the house are relatives so I know that they have had no problems although the house was in the path of Superstorm Sandy. Trees came down, shingles and gutters did not.

He charges a fair price, is very knowledgeable and his team is efficient. They showed up on time as promised and did a great job.

Fine. Call returned quickly. Called before coming to do work. Work done quickly and efficiently.  Molnar has taken care of my slate roof for several years. It's old but he keeps it in good condition. So far--no leaks. Very good service.

Molnar was recommended by a friend with a slate roof who predicted that hemwould do a good job and it would cost us about $1200. That was exactly correct. He did a great job because he really knows slate. Maybe he was a bit pricey, but it was worth it to know that he knew what he was doing.

I pointed out two issues they needed to pay attention to or the gutters wouldn't drain properly. They didn't address my two issues and the gutters didn't work, and water is now collecting and seeping into my basement. They yessed me, but didn't give me the attention my job needed. If you have a standard job though, I think they would be OK.

WE WERE OKAY WITH THE PRICE THEY QUOTED US. THEY WERE VERY THOROUGH AND TOOK CARE OF THE SMALLEST DETAIL. THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB OF MEASURING, THE GUTTERS ALL FIT OKAY AND LOOK NICE.
