PROTEKS Heating & Air Conditioning

Found them through another site. Proteks was responsive at first but did not come up with actual solutions to the problem. They suggested what seems like normal maintenance, cleaning and changing the filter. They also charged an additional fee for finding them on Thumbtack. After this work was done, the unit broke down just short of two months later. When I called Proteks to take a look, they did fit me in their schedule for the next day. They suggested another expensive but piecemeal repair and because I wanted a second opinion, I asked them to hold off. They charged a higher service fee ($99) although they claimed they wouldn't charge the next time. The second opinion I received suggested that the repair would not solve the problem and would only be temporary. I called Proteks for an explanation, but they never called back. I ended up going with another company that will actually do the work to correct all the issues, which Proteks never offered. As a woman dealing with these issues, I feel taken advantage of because I’m relying on experts to assess the problem and come up with a solution, not a bandaid. I would not recommend.

We received 3 diagnosis/quotes including this company. Seemed like the other 2 were on a money grab because 1 recommended replacing the unit and I couldn't even understand what the other one meant, but the quote was 6k, eventually the tech from proteks figured out the problem was able to determine the issue and it was a third of the cost. He just seemed so much more knowledgeable so we went with them and long behold...saved 4 grand Thanks again! Highly recommended

Nice guy that came to my house. Was super knowledgeable and explained things to me in a way that I was supposed to understand. Fantastic work and MY HOUSE CAN GET COLD AGAIN!!!! That just might be the most important part.
