I didn?t know whether he did that type of work or not. I didn?t know if he whether he did just drywall, plastering or what not, but he also did that for me. I thought the price was very fair for that too. I don?t remember what I paid off hand, but it was very fair. It was in my cellar, but he treated it like he was doing my living room. He was so careful with everything he did. I was very impressed.
"This was a job not many contractors like to do to since it was a small and difficult plaster job. We sealed the outside from leaking again, gave a few coats of durabond mix and then coated the final layer with spackle and it looked like new again. We also noticed a really back crack in an old floor joist that we were able to fix and secure with a new laminated joist that reinforced the old one for a permanent fix. It was a delight to work for this member."
"It is great to have satisfied members who love our employees and the service we provide. Job went fast and came out great."
"Sometimes jobs have miscommunications between employees and customers and this project was one of those jobs. Although my employees did a quality relining job, it was not what the client thought we were providing so it created a misunderstanding and confusion. In spite of the confusion the member was willing to work out a resolution that both member and contractor were in agreement with. He was a gentleman and was fair in the final completion of the job."
"The member was very sweet to deal with and was very happy with the work we performed, we even did some structural work we found while we were there."
"Apparently there was a miscommunication with the member and my salesman, that the member wanted more storage in the one bathroom. The contract stated the size of the shower we planned to install but it was never questioned by the member. And considering we worked on the project for 2 1/2 weeks, and the member never once mentioned in the process that she wanted additional storage so we could have made those changes while we were there. We would have been happy to make the changes to have a 100% happy client but she failed to communicate with us during the whole process. It wasn't til now that we found out she wanted more storage than we provided. We wish she had communicated with us sooner. We always want everyone of our clients to be extremely happy and satisfied with the final outcome."
"Member was very friendly and we provided a proposal for the work she wanted done."
"This was definitely one of our most difficult roofs jobs in 30 years to work on but we took on the challenge and in the end everything worked out great and the finish project looks amazing. The member was very understanding with some rain delays and extreme hot temperatures during the work phase but it all worked out. The member was awesome to work with and very responsive when questions came up. We would work for this member again in the future if they call for more work."
"We never did an estimate or any work for this member. Not sure what they are talking about since we never did an estimate for them."
"Although we encountered some problems at the start of the first project the members were very patient and understanding as we worked out some employee issues along the way. The projects came out looking wonderful and the members are extremely happy. It was a pleasure doing work for them."
"This members work entailed a few small projects from a roof repair, wall work, to upgrading their bathroom. We got the work done in a few days and the member was happy with the outcome."
"This members home required a complete renovation to update home for a spouse in a wheel chair. Although there was a lot of work to do while they were living there, we were able to make it somewhat comfortable for them while the remodeling was being done. They were very patient and understanding throughout the whole process."
"This member has been a great blessing to us. Not only has she used us on other projects like her bathroom renovation, she has referred us to others who have hired us for their $15,000 patio and fencing project. We are grateful for the referrals and the work."
"We enjoyed working with this member and his wife. They really loved the final look of their bathroom, windows and refinished floors. It looked like a new home upstairs. They have recently hired us to do more windows downstairs too."
Found several high rated residential construction and roofing contractors through Angie's list. Called three different providers in the area to give estimates for replacement of our aged roof and possibly replace our skylight which was starting to leak. Matthew Miglin responded promptly by E-mail, phone and through messages on Angie's list. Matthew came out and surveyed our job and quickly provided a very detailed estimate which he E-mailed to us. After our review and some questions we decided to use Matthew and Chapelwood Home Services to replace our entire roof and the old leaking skylight. His estimate was much more in line with our budget than the other estimates we received for the work. This was great because our home was located just slightly out of Chapelwood's service area and so Matthew was going beyond his normal service area because we were Angie's list members. After signing our agreement and picking out the colors, Matthew fit us into his work schedule within a week. Wow. He estimated the work would take several days to complete. Matthew and his team showed up on time as scheduled and completely covered anything that could be damaged outside of the house during the removal of the old roof. The materials were what we wanted and the colors matched as expected. His crew was polite and they worked carefully. The finished job was great, everything was completed as expected, and they finished the entire job in one day ahead of schedule. Matthew was very careful and the clean up and removal of the debris was thorough. he even offered to replace a downspout that I damaged earlier this year with snow removal. We of course said that it was not their fault. They went around the entire property with a roller magnet to pick up all the nails that may have slipped through their cover material. We highly recommend Chapelwood Home Services and would definitely use Matthew again for future projects on our home. Thank you Matthew!
"It was such a pleasure to deal with this member. They were very responsive and quick to make a decision to hire us. Although we had a few setbacks on the job we were able to finish ahead of schedule and keep the members roof sealed up in time for the bad weather. We would be happy to do more work for this member even though they are outside our normal service territory. Thanks again for the opportunity to serve you."
"It was great presenting all the facts and options to this member and we enjoyed helping them with their detail bathroom estimate."
"We have had the opportunity to do multiple projects for this member. They have been great at paying us on time and calling us for additional work. We are blessed to have them as a client."
I am selling my 200+ year old house in Mendham Township, NJ and in order to meet the buyer's purchase conditions, it became necessary to repair/replace the roof and mitigate the occasional water seepage in the basement. I had use Chapelwood previously on another job and knew the quality and speed of their work so I called them first for consultation and cost estimates. They responded immediately and I quickly had their opinion on the scope and cost of the repair work which I found to be very reasonable and acceptable.
Chapelwood excavated a corner of the basement where water leaked in, installed a sump pump basin and sump pump electric unit, a drain in front of the boiler at the lowest spot on the floor and fed it into the sump pump basin and installed a pvc drain pipe from the sump pump through the foundation wall to the outside yard. Outside the house, they redirected two downspouts away from the house. All work was completed in less than 2 days and within just 1 week of signing the Contractor Agreement. There was a heavy rain since then, but no seepage in the basement...I'm very happy with the results.Â
I took their advice of fully replacing the 25+ year old roof rather than spot fixes here and there and that job was also done quickly and well.
All work was done quickly and professionally by very competent workers and I found dealing with them to be a pleasure. This was all a "rush" job and Chapelwood was able to work me into their schedule in order to meet the closing date for the sale of the home.Â
I would absolutely use these guys again.
"This member was in the middle of finalizing the sale of his home when the mortgage company had concerns about water issues including the roof and the basement and stopped the closing until this work was completed to the satisfaction of mortgage company. So upon receiving a call from this member we rearranged our schedule to accomodate the deadline the member had to keep the original closing date. We started the work within 2 days and completed all the work with in 7 days allowing member to close on time. It was great to work for this member, very understanding."
"This was one of those projects that can get really messy and is not always much fun to do. Which is probably why their first contractor never got back to them after looking at the project. The member was using up the last of his vacation time the following week and asked if there was anyway I could do the work during the following week. I agreed and rearranged my schedule to accommodate their needs. I also ended up needing to do more work then originally estimated but was able to still perform the work within my planned time frame so I did not charge the member for 3 addition items of work that I completed during the project and also fixed their attic stairs to make them safer that were not properly installed in the first place. This family was wonderful and very appreciative to work for, I would be happy to work for them again in the future."
These guys worked tirelessly all day long, putting up the wall and ceiling boards, working around ceiling pipes and then applying many coats of spackling, allowing each coat to dry in between. If there was an A++++ rating, they would get it. Even their clean up was above and beyond what I would have expected. Would I use them again? In a heartbeat, with absolutely no reservations, whatsoever. Great job guys, fast and professional all the way. Thank you so much. And I will be calling again! - Jerry P.S. The extra job I asked Matt to do because I though I might have mold, was not only done to perfection but he could have added that work to my bill but he didn't. Thank you, Matt
"A simple drywall job turned out to be a more difficult drywall job working around the newly replaced pipes, there were inadequate drywall nailers to properly install drywall, so we added in 5 additional wood nailers to do a better installation. The member left us alone most of the day obviously he was very trusting that we were doing a good job during that time, and when we finished appeared to be very happy with the final product and the thorough clean up. And even though we did additional work we decided to keep the price the same and not charge extra."
It was a pleasure having them do work at our house.
We are very happy with the whole process and outcome.
"This member was fun to work for, very cheerful and great to speak with. Even though we had to change the color twice for the exterior staining and worked around some bad weather conditions we were able to get the job done in 3 days and the member was very happy with the final product."
"This member was one of the sweetest most understanding customers I have had before. In spite of all the unexpected hidden problems that came up she dealt with it amazing well. I would look forward to working for her again."
On the day of the job, Matthew showed up on time, and ready to begin work (he did pre-work to cut all the PVC in his shop), and he said he would get it all done in one day (the other guy took 4 days up the street). Well, he was good on his word. The work was completed, it is beautiful, and he cleaned up the entire site.
I have to say that I would recommend Chapelwood for any work on your home. Matthew is professional, knows what he is doing, provides detailed estimates, solid contracts, and completes the work on time and as agreed.
"This member was so appreciative and grateful for the work we completed, she paid us on time and in full the day of completing the project. Would be happy to do work again for her and enjoyed getting to know her."
"After this member had some bad experiences with some not so good contractors, she found us on Angies List. We started with some framing work to help them progress toward an inspection, and then they asked after seeing our work if we could complete their whole house and we were happy to help. After a very difficult project with lots of unseen issues the house now looks amazing with a very happy client. It was a pleasure to work with this member to give her a house she will enjoy for years to come."
"This member needed some exterior work repaired. We showed up on time and completed the work with in the time frame promised. We would be happy to work for this member again."
