Although, the project took a little longer than the time frame given, the crew that installed the pavers was excellent, had good communication with us and understood what we were trying to achieve with our project. Some supervision and direction was required at times, but they were quick to understand and get the job done to our satisfaction. Once we discussed the plan with them and we felt confident, we were able to leave the premises for a few days. Came back to a beautiful walkway and patio. This paving crew worked hard, were diligent and precise about the project, easy to get along with and no slacking.  Thank you so much Dan, Kyle and Jake!!!! You were awesome!
Mulching and planting crew were also good, did their best to accommodate our needs, worked quickly and only took 2 days. Understood what we were looking to achieve with our gardens and took direction well. Our gardens look amazing!
In general, I would suggest  having everything you want in your project written down in detail as a couple details that were forgotten needed to be reinforced. I would also suggest you be well versed in the project you want done.....do a little research. Know what you want and know what to expect. Ask questions.

The day the job started, Ray and Tyler (crew chief?) came in the morning and went over the project again with me to be sure of the details. Ray left and Tyler and two other workers got right to work. They ran into a few obstacles (including a sudden downpour) but dealt with them efficiently and without complaint. They updated me throughout the day and offered suggestions that altered the plan slightly, but definitely for the better. Overall, it took them about a day and half to complete the job. The most impressive part was how well they cleaned up the area. My husband is very particular and he and i were both very impressed.
I only have one suggestion (not a complaint!) and that would be to communicate more frequently between the signing of the contract and the scheduling of the job. I understand that it is a busy time but just a check-in every now and then to let me know you didn't forget about me would have been nice :-).
It took a while to get my job on their schedule but now I know why --the quality of their work and reputation must keep them very busy.

Provider had difficulty following original instructions as to where to pile and not to pile snow - on each visit. Provider's workers hit mailbox and rock wall with plow. Plow also scraped wooden 4 x 4's along driveway edge despite reflective markers along the driveway edge. Workers scraped paint off of front stoop when shoveling. Provider did not plow in front of garage door claiming that the snow had fallen off the roof - which it had not (the garage is not heated to melt roof snow). When vehicle was snowed in on driveway, there was no effort to shovel even a path to the door of the vehicle; it took me over an hour to clear the snow that was left encircling the vehicle.-

We were given Ray's name from a referral. We put in several retaining walls (8), a new walkway, tore up my old driveway, installed path lighting, a stone mailbox and a significant amount of plants. Overall I couldn't be happier with the work or dealing with Ray Bears. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends or family.

When we moved to our home the daunting task of mowing the lawn was always pushed to the side. We decided to use Bears landscapers to assist us in managing the job and have done so for a few years. Great job! Very helpful asking questions in the office and to do an estimate for future outdoor work. Overall, a great job!!

It went very well, every step of the way. We received the estimate in a timely fashion. We checked their references, and went to see their work. They began the job when they said they would, and they finished within the time-frame they had given us. They even returned to replace a few plants that are normally deer-resistant, but which our neighborhood deer found delicious! They followed up by calling several times during the following months, and stopping by to see how everything looked.

THEY'RE PRETTY FAIR WITH ME. THEY CHARGE A REASONABLE RATE TO COME OUT ONCE EACH WEEK TO DO THIS KIND OF WORK. THEY ARE VERY CONSISTENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
