Horrible. We wanted to buy our dream car and ended up purchasing a nightmare. It amazing how they fooled and lied to us with smiles on there faces.
Description of Work: I recently purchased a 2008 Mini Cooper Conv. with 45,000 miles. Purchased the car Sat. night and drove it home. Monday I took the car to Mini of Ramsey to get checked out. Mini checked it out and reported $3300 worth of repairs. I test drove the car and it drove good but when it was on the lift at Mini they pointed out it needed both lower control arm bushings, rear tires, motor mount, alignment and both strut towers reshaped because they had domed do to hitting pot holes. Not wanting to pay for the repairs, I drove the car back to Audi of Newton. I decided I didn't want to deal with this and I could just give the car back. They said no way I could give it back. The General Manager also claimed they spent $1000 dollars to send my financing into Chase bank. Later found out that it cost nothing to send a loan in. I agreed to pay the $1000 just to get out of this car and The GM said he would give me a credit for the thousand to buy a car in the future. There is no way I would ever go back there. They did offer to check the car out and ship it to Long Island Mini dealer. Even fixing the car at a discount will cost me a few thousand. I would be over $20,000 into the car. I honestly just assumed that if they have a car on the lot for sale, they would go over the car well and fix the problems before it's for sale. I realized after really looking at the car, they bought it and just put it up for sale . The car had no service records so I had no idea what was done and what needs to be done, The GM said I drove and had the opportunity to check the car out before buying it. Their is no way I could see the problems when the car is on the ground. The next day I went back to Audi to dispute the $1000 charge. The GM said sorry can't do anything. I said to GM I would contact Consumer Affairs and post my bad experience on-line. The GM didn't care and I had no rights. Buyers beware. I was floored, thinking this is a big dealer selling expensive cars. Not some small shady used car dealer. I also noticed when I was buying the car everyone was really nice but when I had problems nobody wanted to talk to me or even look at me. In my mind I should be able to walk away because the car wasn't in my name yet. All this happen 2 days later. The short story is I paid $1000 to "drive" the mini for two days

My wife's car started hesitating at about 2500 - 3000 rpm. I called Audi in Newton to take a look at it. The Tech told me the transmission fluid is burned out and need to be changed that's what's causing it. I was skeptical right there, but they are obviously specialists. ;) . They changed the trans fluid and $900 later the problem was still there of course. Now the funny part : my wife went there again and the tech told her that these Audi's are not made to be driven in "D" because they are made for German roads with higher speed. Because we can't drive that fast the trans is constantly shifting up and down and that's what's cause this hesitation. I couldn't believe it but after she handed me the phone this jerk told me the same BS. When I had the car at home I opened the hood, it was dark, started the car and saw it sparking all over the coil. I ordered a new coil, replaced it and the problem was solved. That was a $300 part and 45mins work. I was so upset they couldn't find the problem, contacted Audi USA and told them but AUDI USA told me to contact the dealer to solve the problem. I love my Audi's but the Dealership in Newton is not the place to get your car repaired.

Left a 1,000 check for deposit on a specific auto to be coming in in 48 hours. After siging all of the paperwork was told that the vehicle may take more than a week to come in. Check was cashed the next day. Sales associate would not return calls. Finally found out that auto was now unavailable. Took over 2 weeks and several emails to get deposit back. BEWARE!!!
Description of Work: Gave a deposit for a new auto.

As most dealerships, it is our policy on a check left for a deposit to wait 10 business days for the check to clear. It is unfortunate when we are locating a car when we cannot obtain the car from another dealership. In this case, the deposit was refunded.

I took it in another time because a service light was on (I think it was the engine coolant system). They couldn't do the work right away because it was on a Saturday and service area was closed. They told me to bring it in on Monday. So I brought it in on Monday but all they did was turn the light off. After I drove home (13 miles), the light went back on again. I called another VW dealership, Cresmont VW, and they set an appointment up for me and they fixed the problem.
Description of Work: I took my VW in to be serviced. When it was returned to me, the interior of the car had grease on the floor mat, handle, and side of the seat. I commented about it and they attempted to clean it up but it was only half way better -all the grease was not removed.
