ALEX ON-TIME SERVICES

Contracted to do interior painting. Specifically asked for him to sand out areas that were not prepped in the past and he didn't patch work on holes is shotty. Specifically asked him to remove all wall switch plate covers and lighting trim pieces before paining. He just painted around them without removing. Thankfully I removed most of them myself but they didn't removed the three that I left.
Cleaned brushes and drywall tools in the sink resulting in it clogging. Denied washing tools in the sink even though there was paint all over my strainer and rim of sink. Snaked it at my request but still denied it and said it was slow when they arrived already. didn't just fix the problem and move on.
Didn't remove picture hooks as I requested.
They did do a good job on some trim work I asked for around the entry way door. Would hire again but would suggest supervision.

Beautiful work and over and beyond service!!! Not only was Alex on Time way more affordable than the other estimates we had gotten, they were flexible with our timing and had no problem dropping off and picking up keys from our other contractors that were working on our home... saving us a trip from the city. They responded quickly to emails and calls, were very professional and we were billed exactly what was estimated. They even came back to do some touch up painting after our floors had been resurfaced for no charge.
I am very particular with details and they did a great job. Highly recommend!!!!! They will be our go-to painters from now on!

amendment on second job: our first experience with Alex was amazing and unfortunately we were very disappointed the second time around. they were not very quick to respond as well the job took longer than anticipated. but the worst of it is that I had asked if I need to hire an electrician to come in a take down our wall sconces before they came paint. I was assured that it was not necessary. the room was a bit cold so the painter had brought a heater to run. The heater blew our electric multiple times resulting in our wall sconces no longer turning on. I called an electrician who confirmed the multiple surges blew the electric. To be fair, I asked Alex to split the cost. After a back and forth conversation he agreed to pay the $80. However, never sent his half. To be fair, the room looks beautiful and the wallpaper was hung very well. However, Our window seat was painted shut and getting it open resulted in chipping of the paint.

I cannot tell you how happy I am with the job performed. Alex and his crew are meticulous. The exterior of my home was in very poor shape. It had not been brought down to bare wood in the 25 years I've lived here. It did not look like the previous owners had done so, either. Paint was caked on and cracking and peeling. The exterior looked very poor. It was sanded down to bare wood and the rotted shingles replaced. The painting was done in the most professional manner as was the sanding and prep work. The house looks amazing, better than it's ever looked. Alex also did some interior work. All of the cracks and holes in the plaster were repaired and the walls were painted.
The job they performed was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone looking to paint their home. Their prices are competitive and often less than other painters and the work is far better. What more can you ask for?

Alex arrived on time on a Saturday morning to review and estimate the job. Alex emailed me the estimate and options the next day. We agreed to do the job on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Alex and his crew of 3 painters arrived on time to start the job and they painted all day and completed the job as discussed and agreed to.

The contractor arrived on time on the agreed date. He had a small crew that went right to work. Everyone was focused and did their job. No messes. No problems. Great job done.

Alex came and viewed the house one evening and gave us a quote the next day. We have four small children so working around us was going to be challenging. They were very accommodating and worked around us very well. The painters moved furniture and covered all the floors and furniture before painting. They were very thorough in prepping the walls before painting. At the end of each day they were very good at cleaning up including vacuuming. The painters were very polite and quiet. The total job took about two weeks for interior and exterior paint work and we are very happy with the results. I would highly recommend them.
