Just had roof done by Layne roofing . They were here for a day and a half, best experience we had with a contractor ever, after 33 years of owning our home. Layne roofing was very professional and on time. Covered everything before tearing off roof and cleaned up perfectly. After a day and a half you didn't even know they were here except we had a new roof. The BIG PLUS was they beat the other two prices we had by a LOT.

It went very well.  They returned calls promptly and replied quickly with the estimate.  They were very helpful and polite.  The work was done quickly, they were completed in one day, and cleaned everything up so you couldn't even tell they were there.

The owner came to take a look and gave us an estimate and then emailed the actual one.  He even got on the extension roof to take a look at something we requested his opinion on.
When we were ready to do the job, we went to their office to select the shingle color and they came a week and a half later to do the job. The roof was done in just one day and we also got the new gutters. 
Everything looks perfect and noticed a few details that we thought were very well resolved.

This was a WONDERFUL experience.  The office manager, Eileen, was exceedingly helpful in answering questions we had about the estimate and her communication with us for scheduling the job was superb.  The crew arrived promptly on the day scheduled and immediately began the project.  They protected all of our landscaping and worked non-stop.  (You can tell if people stop working when they're banging on your roof all day!)  The questions I had while they were here were all answered thoroughly and I was even shown areas that required special attention.  The entire crew was knowledgeable, polite and respectful.  They actually left our property cleaner than when they had arrived, taking the last of the autumn leaves with them.  The property was SPOTLESS and, after just two days, the house looks amazing.

Layne responded promptly to my call with quote and information. 
After a price was agreed  upon the  work was started within days, and completed  in two days as promised.
There was a good deal of debris, spread  around by fairly heavy gusts of wind (no rain to my relief) but Layne's people were very thorough in removing all the scrap.
I do not have the expertise to know quality of material and workmanship but judging by  the way the project was handled I am quite confident that I have a roof that will last - it  certainly looks great.  

Layne Roofing was recommended to me by local hardware store owner. Estimate was emailed to me within 3 days of my first call. Mr Ron Layne arrived on time with two man crew. He consulted with me about the job and answered my questions. He supervised work for the first hour and the crew carried on to the finish. The roof is high and steep but the crew were skilled, thorough and professional.

I previously submitted a report when Layne Roofing completed a roofing job on the house I was living in in Demarest, NJ. I recently purchased a house in Dumont, NJ and the house needed a new roof. I immediately called Ron Layne as I was so pleased with the job he did on the previous house. He gave me a great estimate which included an option for gutters. I also needed an exhaust fan cut into the attic and he told me there was no problem with that. He put it in while the roof was opened and left it so the electrician can just tie it in to my electric panel. The house also needs gutters and vinyl siding which Ron is taking care of also. Both of those jobs will be within the next few weeks and I will submit further reports when those jobs are completed. I am confident that the quality will be as superior as the roofing. Ron is very easy to work with and when he tells you he will be there on a certain day you can expect that he and his crew will be there. In fact, he is one of the persons up on the roof working away. If you cannot personally reach Ron as he may be out on a job, he has a woman, Eileen, in his Office who is teriffic. She relays to Ron whatever your concerns or questions are and they are handled immediately. He is excellent at what he does and the same applies to his crew. They arrived at approximately 8:00 A.M. and were done by about 2:00 P.M. When they left you never knew a major construction project took place just hours before. They did not leave a sign that they were there with the exception of a great looking roof. I would as I did one time before highly recommend Layne Roofing to anyone who is reading this. You most definately will not be sorry.

I knew of them because they are a local company. I called and got an estimate from them, hired them because of their reputation and competitive price. My husband and I were very pleased with their work.

We received three bids for the work and chose Layne Roofing. Their price included everything, with no extra charges. They gave us sample books and, when we asked about different manufacturers, directed us to visit their supplier and pick exactly what we wanted. In approximately two weeks, they arrived promptly and by the end of the first day, the main part of the house was finished. They returned the following day to finish, and the clean up was amazing. The owner came back to inspect the job and to see if we had any issues. We were very happy with their work and would recommend them highly.

The Owner was very professional, courteous and easy to work with. He first gave us an estimate and then we got two more, reviewed all three and decided to use Layne. It took them about 3 1/2 weeks to start the job because of all the rain we had but when they told us what date they would be here they were at 8:00 A.M. sharp. The Owner, his brother and two sons were up on our roof working with the rest of the crew. They had one half of the roof done the first day, the second half the next day and finished up flashing the chimney and vents the third day. This is exactly what we were told was going to happen. They also cleaned up so well you never knew any construction went on. They had a magnetic robot that they walked the whole property with to pick up any excess nails that may have dropped. They did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to everybody. We are very pleased with the job they did.

OVERALL, THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY WERE EFFICIENT AND VERY FAST. THEY CLEANED UP ANY MESS THAT WAS MADE. I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE ROOF AND HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS.

I LIKED THAT THEY WERE VERY NEAT AND LEFT NO MESS WHEN FINISHED. THEY GOT THE WHOLE JOB DONE IN ONE DAY. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS GREAT. WE HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS SO FAR.
