Took our money and never showed up for the work!! If you want to pay a company to come out, tell you they will put the fee towards service rendered, and call you with an estimate to only give you the run around and then stop returning your phone calls. It's theft plane and simple. I kept asking for the estimate and told them I just wanted my refrigerator fixed. First they lied and said they sent the estimate but would resend and call me. They never did and they stopped answering my calls. IN my last call I asked them to either do the service or return my money- they just never returned my calls. I wonder how much they make from unsuspecting customers who want something fixed

Scott from Bi State Appliance came to fix my washing machine on a thursday and it was a disaster. He was nice enough when he came however asked me for a plumbers wrench cause his was rusted....you are the appliance repair man. Scott decided that the washing machine clamp fell off for no reason and had his nephew put it back on. Twenty minutes after he left my basement was covered in water again. I called right away and he states on the phone that I must need a new part. How this was decided I am not sure given that he never came back to look at them machine. I called and left message...and called. The parent company Ridgewood Appliance finally got through to him and he stated I need a new part and would come Tuesday between 1-5....This was Saturday. Very long story short and many many phone calls later I bought a plumbers wrench, took apart my washing machine to find a clog in the drain which was causing build up of pressure which is why the very secure clamp came off. I removed the material clogging the drain pipe, put it all back together and the machine has been working for the past month no problem. I clearly did not need a new part.......I understand mistakes happen but to not call me back, return my money or ever apologize for not providing he service he did NOT provide is despicable customer service. I would never NEVER recommend.

We first called for our dishwasher that was leaking and Scott came over that cost us about $90. Then he mentioned he had to get the part but it was a holiday so he could come back the next day. Well the next day was 5 days later and the dishwasher was still leaking. They didn't follow up and we had to keep calling to get them to come. Scott came to put the new part on while my nanny was home and insisted on payment for a "fixed job" before he would leave the house. I finally gave him a credit card over the phone as I couldn't write a check and meanwhile I got home and the dishwasher was NOT fixed! After $250 later two service calls our dishwasher is still broken. When I called to tell them it is still broken and why wasn't everything checked at the first $90 visit, she said it was because only the valve was leaking. But, obviously there was more than one issue. When I called the company back for a refund or some sort of discount as we basically threw away $250 for a part that was $20 for a broken dishwasher! Will not use them again and I suggest you don't either. We had someone else come to the house to install the new dishwasher and what they "fixed" was broken! I can't believe it, after $250 it wasn't even fixed!

Microwave turntable was not operating. Went to Sears since it was a
Kenmore and showed them the turntable arm which looked like it was
broken. The salesperson wasn't able to show me a unit that was like
mine and referred me to the parts department. Took the turntable arm to
Sears parts and was was told that it looked like it was burned and that
the turntable motor had probable burned out. Called Bi-State and they
came to my house and immediately fixed the problem- the turntable arm
was not burned or broken. It just had to be put on properly. Voila-
problem fixed. Shame on me for not being able to put the turntable arm
on. Best $50 service call I've had. Shame on Sears too for their
counsel.
Scott Schlesinger, the owner, and his wife Jessica provided excellent
service!!!

I have a Thermador cook top that has a grill in it. The grill had stopped working yesterday so this morning I called and Scott said he could come later, I was thrilled about that since I use my grill often.
He showed up on time and was very friendly and personable. He quickly figured out that the ignitor had gone on the grill. He then stated he had the part on the truck and he could fix it right away. That was a surprise, I really didn't expect that he would have a Thermador grill ignitor with him but he did and had it fixed in no time.
When he left he told me he does other appliances too, such as washing machines. I will definitely be calling him next time I have a problem with any of my appliances.
