Selected the quartzite at an importer in Eatontown, and then priced the fabrication work at T&J and a second fabricator. T&J's price was lower, so went with them. Local sales person has an excellent relationship with the importer, so was able to get them to hold the slabs we wanted for an extra month after we had a backorder on our cabinets. Template was done in evening (convenient), and was very accurate - resulting counters fit against walls perfectly. Now the down side. The island was measured incorrectly, and the counter was shorter than we contracted for. When we went to Passaic to look at a remainder piece/candidate for re-make, the stone cutter made some insulting remarks - "it's only a little short," and implied we were cheating T&J asking for the re-make. And had to loan a sharp saw-blade to one of the installers who was notching our new cabinet frame for the new countertop - his was totally worn and was burning the lacquer on the cabinet frame. The up-side was that the salesman offered a 5% reduction in price overall, or to re-make the piece from another slab left over from another customer (same block, a few slices further into the block, so it was a good color match). Left the short piece in place temporarily, re-made the counter, and installed it the following week. Overall - very happy with the fit and workmanship. One week delay while the re-make was being done. Happy with end result despite a bit of grief.

Thomas first came to confirm the dimensions, and after two weeks, three of his guys came and delivered the countertop.
Installation took a couple of hours, and everything was aligned and insulated perfectly. And I am a very visually picky person :)
I added an electrical cutout after the initial measurement, and there is no extra charge for that.
I know they are not the least expensive shop out there, but for the services and job quality, I consider it worth every penny.

We could not have been more pleased with the whole process start to finish. They provided me with multiple suppliers to check out the stone, I found the perfect slabs. The price was excellent - I visited several fabricators and did reference checks and by far t & j beat them all out. The installation when perfectly! The edge are great, the seams barely noticeable and the guys could not have been nicer. I highly recommend t and j stone for your kitchen or bath project!

1. He charged me for one piece of item he could not deliver due to insufficient stock. Yes, this is true. I refused to pay for it.
2. He re-inked the entire work contract at a higher price to get more money out of me.
3. His crew messed up on one hole for the bath tub faucet making it oblong instead of round which is now clearly visible.
I will never ever recommend and do any business with this person. Period.

This is what I gathered about Tomas and Juan on this project:
1. Tomas gave us a good price on the fabrication/installation.
2. He even offered a free kitchen sink but we had to decline that since the sink was too small. This turned
out to be a very good decision. We bought a much bigger sink and even that looks barely big enough.
3. Tomas is very good with the timeline. At the time of signing the contract he said he can do templating
and get installtion done in 4-5 days. He was quite close on that; as he was able to do it for me in 7days. Thats
very good when you see that some fabricators can take more than double that time to do this.
4. Tomas is very punctual. He showed up on time to do templating and was very careful with the areas where he thought
that the wall was not straight.
5. After templating we went to the fabrication facility and met Juan. He had already laid out our Granite pieces
before we came in. Juan then worked with us to lay the template pieces on the granite. That gave us a very good idea
of what part of the slab would go to what part of the kitchen.
6. Juan and his crew did a fantastic job in the fabrication. They even polished the bottom 1inch edge of the granite.
7. As for the installation; it went smooth. They crew came on time. Brought the pieces in and had to make some minor
adjustment on the cabinet height to make the granite sit level on the cabinet. They installed the sinks and put the
sealer on the granite. They put the clear caulk on the gaps where the granite meets the wall. They sealed the edges
where the sink meets the granite.
8. I would highly recommend T & J Stone for any Granite countertop project. They were instrumental in making my kitchen
renovation project go smooth and something that I would always look back with a smile.

T & J replaced the old laminate style kitchen countertop with the solid & elegant granite countertop. Excellent craftmanship and job nicely done. Total square feet was 51 (included both kitchen countertop and breakfast bar). Very happy with the install. See pictures using the URL: https://www.flickr.com/gp/129294431@N05/1975hw/

The process was simple and smooth.  I searched Angie's list for reviews prior to contacting T & J Stone and was not disappointed.  I was able to review granite options at their New Brunswick showroom.  The process was simple, speedy and professional.  Installation took place a week later which seemed very fast to me.  The installation team was timely, removed my current granite and replaced with new all within under an hour it seemed.   Very satisfied with the quality and look of the product.  Will use them again on my bathroom remodels.

We used the services of T& J Stone location on Jersey Avenue in New
Brunswick. Tomas, who assisted us, was polite, courteous and helpful. We
took advantage of the special of up to 40 sq. feet of granite installed
for $1995. This price included us being able to select from 20 lovely
granite samples. The granite choices were extensive enough to meet anyone's taste.
We selected the granite and also were offered the
chance to buy a faucet as well as a grate to go into the free stainless
steel sink. Both the faucet and grate were fairly priced as well as good
quality. Removal of the countertops was free but we were charged $50
for removal of the countertops. In checking with other granite
providers, many of which charged up to $300 for removal of the tops, we
felt that $50 was a bargain.

T&J took credit cards, but with an additional charge- so we paid cash with our debit card to save
money. Tomas came to our house to make a template and 5 days later the
installation took place.

The installers arrived on time, did the work quickly and were respectful of our home. We were plased with the
end result and would highly suggest anyone looking for a nice job visit
Tomas at the Jersey Avenue in New Brunswick store.

Owner was very responsive to answering emails and phone calls.  Was very professional and helpful at helping me select from the many choices.  Countertops installed about 8 days after contract was completed.  Contractors (not owner himself) were on time and efficien with the installation.
Wasn't happy about all the dust that was left behind though.  Had to clean entire kitchen as dust was everywhere including in the cabinets underneath the counter as well as all of the pots, pans and other items that were stored there.  Had to wash everything.  Wish they would have told me to remove everything underneath and not just work with the items there.  Also the underside of the countertops that were installed were extremely dusty.  I guess they are not cleaned after being taken from the warehouse and prior to installation so I had to clean all that as well.

Went to T&J stone and met with Peter.  We went over countertop options and I decided on quartz.
My main concern was not to have my kitchen "unusable" for more than a day.
He assured me he could measure with the existing countertop in place, while other companies told me that I would be without a countertop for at least a week.
We made an appointment for measuring.  He showed up on time and did the measuring in a timely manner.
He gave me a date and time for delivery and installation.
On the 28th his men showed up at the designated time.
They removed the old countertop (tile over formica) without disturbing the tile backsplash, which was very important to me.
They were courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, clean, answered and addressed all questions, and when finished cleaned up.
For a small fee they took the old countertops so I wouldn't have to deal with getting rid of them.
I would use T&J stone again.

I had shopped around for a few months looking for a good place and came across T & J Stone Corp.  The owner Juan spent a lot of time with me and was very patient and helpful with all my questions.  He included a lot of additional amenities such as free sink, extra faucet holes and upgraded edges.  The countertop that I wanted was being sold for a lot more at other places.  I also liked that the turn around time was 3 to 4 days and the countertops did not have to be removed for measurements.  Removal is done on the day of installation and is also free.  His installers were very courteous and helpful.  They took their time and were very helpful.

The price was right, there was some language difficulty but we got over that hump. I went to see him mill where he actually fabricated the counters and they were all state of the art. I always had a doubt about it, but the price was so good that I had it done. They had great work ethic, they did it to the best of their ability and it looks fabulous. He showed me 3 levels of granite and we went with the best one.
