Description of Work: Performed Lead Paint testing using Xray gun- checked entire house inside and out-

Description of Work: My house was built in 1929 and I was getting really concerned with some of the pain peeling in our foyer, dining room and living room. I did quite a bit of research and found that Lew Corporation was the best value for the services that they provide their clients. I called in on the main line and one of the reps really took the time to understand my concerns and explained to me the different options that Lew Corp can provide. The first step was to have the lead testing and from there I could have the lead abated through enclosure or encapsulation. Enclosure would mean that I would seal the lead by putting another building material on top of the lead based paint. That would mean I could put up sheet rock or paneling. Encapsulation would be a process where an encapsulation type product would be applied on top of the lead paint. Such products would be similar to a heavy latex paint. The rep was so friendly and happy to answer my questions. After I felt comfortable with the services, I made the appointment to have a lead specialist come to my house to conduct the test. The lead specialist—Fred came a few minutes early to our appointment. He sat down with me to explain what he would be doing. He showed me his XRF gun and told me what it would do. Basically he would point the XRF gun to a wall, a window frame, a door etc. and it would provide a reading. Fred took about 2+ hours to do all the reading in my home—roughly around 275 locations that included my foundation walls, old window frames, cabinets, railing and pretty much the whole house. After he took the readings, we sat down again and he explained that he will need to download all of the readings so he can generate a report. I signed the paperwork and wrote him a check. About 1 week later, I was provided the report. I can’t believe how detailed the final report came out to be. It was over 50 pages long with diagrams, the reading results, explanation about the equipment, the process and even suggested abatement procedures.
