Glenn, Jake and team are FANTASTIC! Been using for years for HVAC service and repairs. This year we needed to replace a 30 year old HVAC system - could not be happier, from initial estimate to installation and follow up - simply TOP NOTCH ?

We decided to replace our aging furnace and AC unit. After getting multiple bids, we found ASE to be the most competitive and the most responsive. The installation work that Glenn and his son Jake did was thorough and meticulous. The area was left completely clean and communication with Glenn before, during and after the installation was excellent. We highly recommend this firm for any of your HVAC needs and we will definitely use them again. They easily earned a 5 star rating for the quality of their work.

Super professional, competitive price, great install. Recently (march 2020) we had an issue with a motor that prevented the heater from continually running. This was clearly an equipment issue and not the teams work. Glen and his team immediately responded, came out to diagnose the issue and repaired it same day with original OEM parts. System is back and running perfectly. This all went down as we were home with a new baby and Glen provided excellent service. Highly recommend!!!

Called on a Saturday morning at 8:30am and they were here and working within 30 minutes. Nice professional guys. Got the AC working before a very hot day. Would recommend and hire again.

House was at 51 degrees without heat, Called Glenn that afternoon and he came first thing the next morning to investigate. After his next appointment he personally drove to Carrier parts depot to expedite instead of having the part mailed to him. He installed the part that afternoon and allowed us to have heat the same day. Since the part was pricey (approx $500) he also negotiated the price down for me.

By far, the most responsive AC contractor I’ve encountered!!! Ac went out last night and called first thing the next morning. He came Out within 2 hours (when others were quoting days) , diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes and had me going within a half hour. Didn’t try and sell me something I didn’t need and as a result has earned my trust and a future client whenever I need servicing.

Great, ASE was very responsive to my heating needs. They responded to my call in a timely manner by replacing my furnace with a more efficient unit at a reasonable price. A follow up call was made to verify that I was pleased with the operation of the unit. I give them 5 stars.

The area around the furnace was cluttered because of some recent construction and there were old window panes and a ceiling tile on top of the furnace, and the guy yelled at me about that and made sure to shame me in the process accusing me of trying to set my house on fire and kill my children, so that was a great way to start my day. The bill was $1,375.00, so when I handed him my credit card, THEN he tells me they don't take credit, only cash or a check. Who has that much cash on hand? And what business these days doesn't take credit? He waited while I drove to the bank to take cash from my son's account; there was no other payment option offered.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of ASE. Glenn, the owner, is very experienced and takes great pride in his work. His son Jake is also a very accomplished HVAC expert and diligent regarding correct and efficient installation, and the technician, Bruce, who also assisted on the installation, provided additional excellent support. I conducted extensive on-line research regarding various brands of furnaces/ACs prior to commissioning an installation. The most common finding of my efforts was that most brands, if installed properly, will be good choices. And all the articles stressed that, more than the brand, make sure you select a company that will correctly install the system - that is the overriding criteria for satisfaction. And that was my primary reason for selecting ASE, as the experience, skill and pride that ASE would provide was readily apparent. I interviewed five firms (with proposals), three "large," firms and two smaller, owner-operated, ASE included. What I liked immediately about ASE was that I knew that Glenn, who came out, with quick response, to give me a proposal, would be the individual actually doing the work, along with Jake, and not sending the job down the line to other installers, as is the case with larger companies. And if there is an issue in the future, I know that Glenn and Jake will be the ones who will attend to it - with the larger firms you are not sure who will show up and their level of familiarity with my situation. The other, "smaller", owner operated firm, came and seemed competent, but failed, despite a few requests, to give a proposal. I also liked the fact that, unlike two of the larger firms, Glenn did not try to also recommend/push an annual maintenance contract. The installation went very well, as Glenn, Jake and Bruce, did a wonderful job and took extra steps to provide a quality install, and their attention to detail was very evident. And as an aside, I had been having some difficulty with my hot water heater pilot light going out, so Glenn also looked at that while there and installed some new ignition parts and did not charge me for this additional work or parts. And Glenn made sure to contact me over the next few days to make sure all was working well and to follow-up on the town inspection process for approval. The inspector who came noted that ASE did a very good job. Overall I was very pleased with ASE and highly recommend them to assure a proper installation

Glenn and his crew did a beautiful, neat job. He seems very knowledgable and even added a few suggestions to make the entire project come out better than expected. I would definitely use them again.

Incredible Service. Called Glenn on a Sunday - he suggested things I could try on my own first. I called back and asked him to come out - and he squeezed me in on a Sunday afternoon. He called me back in the evening to check everything was working fine (it was). I recommend ASE for their integrity and quality of work - Glenn, the owner, is a nice guy and very trustworthy.

All I needed was a seasonal A/C service. I spoke to Glenn around 8:30am and he assured me they would fit me into their busy schedule...he was at my house by 10:30am that same day! I have a VERY old system, so there's only so much that can be done to improve the functionality. Glenn thoroughly inspected and cleaned out everything, explained the system to me and made recommendations to try and keep it going. He even gave me a break on the pricing, which I very much appreciated! Honest, down-to-earth guy. I'll definitely use ASE again when needed. Thanks, Glenn!

Glenn was very responsive and communicative through the entire process of replacing both the condenser and coil. He also did the little extras like replacing some wiring and insulation that he felt was not good enough from the previous job done there. I felt he was honest about the work that needed to be done and the right brand to purchase. He followed up after the job was done to make sure everything was ok.

Called ASE at 8:15AM and they were at my house by 10:30AM to get started on the repair. Glenn diagnosed the unit as having a faulty hard start capacitor and got it up and running in about 30minutes. Even cleaned out the coils. I am a stickler for good service as I have hired many contractors in the past at my place of business and would definitely recommend ASE.

Glenn and his son came out same day to inspect our hot water boiler. Both were helpful and professional. Walked me through the problem, helped me understand how the boiler works and repaired our old, rusted pump same day. Will have them return for any future needs. Thanks, Glenn!

Called around 1:pm to state we have no AC at all (it was over 90 degrees that week).  Glen said they could be at the house at  4:pm.  Glen and Jacob showed up early, and had the AC up and running in around 2 hours!   House was back to normal temp by 9:pm  The new blower is better than the original

I wanted to have the a/c system in my new home checked out before the summer, so I called ASE in early May to have them check it out. When they came, they thoroughly inspected the whole system, including the filters, drains, and refrigerant levels. My system did not need any additional work (other than preventative maintenance they performed like cleaning the drain lines with compressed air), and has been working well so far this summer.
They are a father and son, and while the father seemed a little rough around the edges, both him and his son know what they are doing and seem extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely call them again when my a/c needs additional work.

I was taken back by the owner's abrupt response when I asked him if he was licensed in the State of NJ. Also, there was a discount offered on the company's website which I didn't mention when they were at my house because the company was referred to us by another person who didn't have time to fit us in his schedule. However, the next day or so, I saw the discount on the company's website and I sent an e-mail asking if I could get it. I got no response at all which I don't find very professional.

Glenn and Jake were very helpful in evaluating different types and manufactures of equipment and providing insight and recommendations. When it came time for installation, they were on time, worked hard all day and cleaned up when they were finished. A few weeks after installation they came back to be sure everything was working properly. They know their business.

Very professional and fast.  Called in the evening (when most other companies are closed) and he came the next morning.  Trustworthy.  Even looked at my son's truck to show him where the low side port for his AC was ... Very nice man.  I would call him again for any heating and cooling issues I encounter again.  Thanks.

They came out on emergency call.  Our electrician had accidentally cut our power.  They came out right away and took care of the issue at no cost. There was nothing to fix and did not charge us for coming out to see what the issue was and I am very grateful for that. I will call them in the future.

We had a leak at a joint in a galvanized steel steam radiator pipe. We'd called a handful of repair companies and many had a diagnostic fee between $100-$150 which just adds additional costs to your repair. Finally, we found ASE Heating and Cooling. We had the repair scheduled for a Saturday morning but ASE got stuck on another job and wasn't able to come. Glenn called promptly to let us know, was sincerely apologetic on the phone and we rescheduled for first thing Monday morning.
Come Monday, Glenn and his assistant arrived right on time. Our pipes were heavily corroded and the leak was in a very inconvenient spot. The repair required sawing apart the pipes and piecing in multiple small sections of pipe to connect everything again. Glenn explained that once they dealt with the current leak, he couldn't guarantee that a different union or joint wouldn't be loosen and also spring a leak. He was very clear and honest about the best- and worst-case scenarios and the costs associated with each. Thankfully, we had a best case scenario. Glenn and his assistant were friendly, respectful, courteous, and I felt like they kept cost in mind and didn't try to up-sell or find other things that needed repair. Sometime you get the gut feeling that you're really being screwed during a home repair - I didn't have that feeling once. While our repair was expensive, I think the price was very fair.
He even pointed out that the washing machine hoses were about to burst and we'd have a disaster in the basement any day. He advised what type of hose we should buy at Home Depot and even shut off the water to the machine until we could put in a replacement.
All in all, it was a great experience. We would absolutely use Glenn and ASE Heating and Cooling for our next repair or upgrade.
