Lisk Landscape sucks. Bottom line. I only give an A in responsiveness because I always have to email their one employee almost every time I have a service. He always writes back immediately and apologizes, but I shouldn't have to deal with him each and every time.
The company actually started out really well. I have a small backyard, and a fungus destroyed all the grass. My fiance and I called Lisk because we saw an ad for them in a magazine, and they were local. They came out and gave an estimate for sod. The work was completed quickly and professionally. It looked great. My fiance and I both work shift work while attending school, so in the spring/summer, we didn't get a lot of time to weed our front yard. I then asked Lisk to set up a bi-weekly schedule of weeding our front yard and mowing our backyard. There has not been any consistency. They will mow the back, and not weed the front or vice versa. One time, I was home and heard them mowing the backyard. After they left, I went out front to find weeds everywhere. I immediately called, and was told, "Oh, yeah...they went down the street to work on someone else's house. They will be back today to weed." Why didn't they just do everything at once? They had no intent on weeding until I called. HOWEVER, whenever I get my bill, the services NOT completed are still charged to me. I can't tell you how many times my bill has been wrong. Then, I went on vacation and during that trip, I was scheduled to have a weeding done in my front yard. When I came back, I had weeds the size of small trees. The next day, I received a bill for the service! I emailed them, and said there was NO way the weeding was done when I was gone because the same weeds are still there! Did they think I wouldn't notice? At this point, they should know that I monitor everything they do because I don't trust them. I shouldn't have to babysit a company - I'm the customer. Another issue I had was, I wanted to get fertilization treatments after we got the sod in our backyard so I wouldn't have to worry about another problem occurring. We're trying to sell our house, so I don't want my lawn to be another issue I have to worry about when presenting the house. In spring, I asked about treatments. I was told, "I'll get back to you. It's too early in the season." Then a few months later, the same thing. "I'll get back to you." It's now August, and we never had ANY treatments. Our entire backyard of grass is ALL weeds. It looks horrible. I eventually got so fed up with everything, including the billing issues (after being told they have a new billing person, and that's why it was always wrong), that I threatened to leave their company. The guy that I would always email when the services were done wrong or not at all emailed me back, and kept apologizing. I told him I work in management, and I'm the last person to complain to a company - but this was getting ridiculous. He said he cared about his customers, and he even printed out my email to post in his office so he could have a daily reminder of how he should treat his customers. He reassured me from now on, things were going to change. He even had his guys trim my bushes for free as a "special gift" to me. Well, his promises didn't last long. Today is the reason why I have finally decided to submit a report about Lisk Landscape. Last night, I scheduled a mowing and a weeding of my backyard and trimming of four bushes I have in my backyard. They mowed and weeded the backyard - no issue. They did NOT trim the bushes in my backyard...they trimmed two bushes I have in my front yard - that didn't even need trimming! So NOW how is my bill supposed to be adjusted? I'm so fed up, that after writing this report, I think I'm going to finally end it with this company. Unless you want to babysit them every time they are to perform a service on your property, avoid Lisk Landscape!
"This is our First & ONLY bad review on the internet. Let me start by saying this is incident from back 3 years ago & no communication was ever w/ the owner Stephen Lisk. Communication was always w/ Justin, who is no longer with the company. Mrs. Dalton [removed member name] states that services started great & eventually slipped up. We aren't perfect & things do happen. Not to mention, this was the year Mr. Lisk had surgery & was out of commission for quite some time. At the end of the day, we understand Mrs. [removed member name] wasn't happy w/ our services however, there's no reason to leave a bad review over a few simple problems that could have been resolved over the phone or in person. We would have done anything to help rectify the isuue & felt Mrs. [removed member name] did not handle this situation in a professional manner."
