I sent a cross body bag for the clasp to be repaired. the vintage amber hexagon crossbody links came back shortened to the point where this bag is less than a shoulder bag and I am a tiny size zero lady. it won't fit over my head. my grandma's purse had very little wear and I only wear it a couple times because it was a forward flap that had an antique clasp. I suspected because of the poor crimping where the links had been removed that the company was being careful to not damage the links when repairing the clasp but forgot to put them back on when mailing it back. i asked for them back and référenced the word crossbody because it would get over my head and not lay under my arm pit worn as a cross body. they sent me the photos and told them they were the ones of the item but there video shows the links much longer. the photos they sent me where after they shortened it. when i showed them the video and compared the angle of the purse at 8 inches it barely hit the table which proved the chain had been shortened. I am saddened that I was put through the agony of being told I miss classified my grandma's heirloom to a shoulder bag when I know the difference, was asked to count the links to match their photo they took after they took 60% of the length, I had film evidence they provided me of it being opened originally, and even being text that that style of handbag comes super short which of those vintage style is not accurate. If you love your heirlooms don't use this company as they will ciphen the pieces that make your piece truly specially. please message me if you want to see the evidence. i am not a complaining customer because I didnt like their work as they did fix my clasp well. Im not hateful and gave them an opportunity to send me evidence and I communicated what they wanted. my grandma died august 4th, 2020 and she never got to see the finished product. for that I am so glad as she would have been driven to her grave so much sooner.

My wife loved her old dancing shoes but time and extensive use had taken their toll. The soles, heels and inside lining were badly worn out. We looked for new shoes but nothing worked for her. I found Rago Brothers on Angie's List and took a chance that they could help us out. The price was a bit steep but after thinking of the cost of new shoes ($200+) and the aggravation of searching for them, we decided to give Rago a try. We could not have been happier with the results. They fully renovated the shoes inside and out and they look and feel like new shoes. They were very quick with the repair and promptly mailed them to us. Their reps were very professional and fully explained everything that we needed to know before proceeding with the repair. We could not more highly recommend Rago for their outstanding repair work.... they are outstanding.

If you're wondering where you can find a good old-fashioned quality shoe repair look no further.  Rago Brothers is the place to go.  I have a nice pair of semi-casual leather loafers that had the soles coming loose.  Not only did they do an excellent job, they did it in 15 minutes while I waited.  Everyone there is pleasant and helpful and super professional.  They also repair luggage, handbags etc.  Don't go anywhere else.

a 6 inch gash completely destroyed the leather in my shearling coat.  their experts patched it up brilliantly and it is virtually unnoticeable.

I found this company on Angie's List. The handles had come out of the pocketbooks. They did a wonderful job on re-inserting and repairing them that you can't even tell it was done. They completed the repair on about nine or ten pocketbooks in under a week. They called me when they were done which was exactly when they said they would. I am very happy with the work they completed.

I needed to go somewhere that could sew with thick material and this is how I ended up at this business. The fact that they could do a variety of things was just great! They are a family owned business since 1911. They were willing to have me wait while they had it done immediately, even though they were buzzing with business.

First pair done as I waited (less than 10 minutes), the other pair done in 2 days. Look like new. Always a pleasure to do business there.

Many of the edges had lost their red hues. Immediately I was told that they could send the coat out to be restained for 75 dollars or they could work on it at the store for over $200. They said that I should try the 75 dollar route and if it did not come out the way I Iiked they would try to do it in their shop. I loved how it came out. The jacket did not have to be redone in the Rago store. They could have forced me into the higher price service but they were right on the mark. They made me a happy customer and I will return there.

The finished product was great. It took a couple tries. I went in for a fitting and then went for pick-up a week later. It was still too loose at the top and I got a little attitude from one of the owners about not having it corrected during my fitting. I explained that it was fine during the fitting and he agreed to fix it but it required another week.

Very personable. Understood the problem. Repair is undetectable, and the shoes look good.
Don't expect miracles if the shoe is hard to get in to. The second pair was handled equally well, but my feet don't fit the mfg's last.

An excellent job and very quick turnaround. The 08:30am opening allowed drop off and pickup before rush hour traffic in Morristown.

I had a 20 year old Louis Vuitton shaving and toiletry bag that I loved, but in need of repair. The new models were either too big or had the zipper in the wrong location. The bag's interior was vinyl and had begun to flake like old dried skin.

On a whim, I decided to see if anyone would be interested in trying to repair. I found Rago by web search for leather repair. They took one look at the bag's interior and offered to replace it with soft leather. They also would retain a existing zippered pocket (creating a new leather pocket). I was skeptical but decided to try since I loved the bag's shape and size. They quoted $220 for the job (far less than a new Louis bag).

After 3 weeks I went to pick up the bag and was blown away at the craftsmanship and detail. My expectations were completely exceeded and given that the new interior was real leather instead of vinyl, it was far more elegant. There were no extra or hidden costs.

I mentioned this to a friend who then told me that Rago has a reputation for excellence and that people from Manhattan would bring stuff to them for repair. I have not yet used their service for any shoe repairs (their specialty). I also saw a lot of purses in for repair.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
