Dowd Irrigation is a full service irrigation contractor Licensed in the state of NJ. Unlike our large competitors, I believe in personal attention and supervision which ensures a job done right ! ...that is why I will be there working alongside my men the entire day during any NEW installation. I will also be there at the estimate so you are dealing with the owner at all times. I have built my business for over 35 years on this basic principle of good customer service and attention to detail. We are also licensed back flow inspectors to certify the plumbing. We have a licensed plumber on staff which allow us to do all new installations without the need for sub contractors .If you need service on your existing system, Our service crews come to your job site with a fully stocked truck with all the parts required to repair and service your system in one trip. We feature the entire product line of HUNTER sprinkler heads and service all other brands including Rain Bird and Toro. If you are purchasing a new home with an existing sprinkler system we can do a comprehensive inspection and report our findings to you before you purchase the home giving you peace of mind. We also install and service low voltage outdoor lighting systems featuring top quality products from Unique Mfg. We can enhance the value and safety of your home with a custom lighting system that will allow you to enjoy your outdoor spaces after dark. Pool scapes and accent lighting are our specialties. "Client has a history of poor water quality from his well for several years now and has replaced the pump from the well company at least twice that I know about. A well pump should Last 10 to 15 years...not 2 to 3 which means you have a problem with the well. The well brings up sediment which clogs the components of the sprinkler system. Client is unwilling to address the issue and was given various options to pursue including filtration but declined my recommendations and was referred back to his well company for a remedy.. Issues that developed [Member Information Removed] weeks after spring service and daily usage were not under our control and the client was given several options at his expense to resolve the dirty water issues. Client is unwilling to take responsibility for his well and has a history of wanting "something for nothing". After 35 years in business, I always tell the clients the truth and the right way to do things. If they do not want to listen or spend money then it's ignorance of the client and there pittance. The client was not charged for the second service call and wanted repairs done for free which would have failed again due to the dirty water and lack of filtration."
Pat and his team did an excellent job. Pat worked alongside his crew the whole time. He used quality materials which should ensure long life. So far so good.
Only item is that although he applied for the permit, I have to waste a work day to go pay for it since municipal services have inconvenient hours to serve the working public.

"It's quite unfortunate that this was a negative review. I do not do residential driveways, commercial parking lots only. After this person called 7 times pleading for assistance after 3 major snow events we sent another contractor up there to help her out. The driveway had not been done for several big storms. The previous contractor earlier in the yr had damaged the womens house and abandoned her because of a low ball price. She was aware of these damages and told us prior to any work being done. You get what u pay for and she has been thru several contractors all with bad experiences. So much for being conscientious and taking care of an elderly neighbor in need of a helping hand. This person is bitter and angry at the world. Nobody could please her unless u worked for free !!"
"The client was shown all fixtures prior to accepting Big Deal and picked out location of fixtures to be installed. If he did not believe it was a value for the money then why would u proceed with the job ? We suggested other lighting fixtures but client had a limited budget and made the final decision here. Where else can u get 6 LED fixtures, Timer, electrical, and installation by a professional for that price ?"
