Dave replaced the ceiling in the bathroom in my condo which had been damaged from water from the bathroom above it. He repainted the entire bathroom and it came out looking very nice. I also had oak flooring in a hallway which had been ripped out due to water damage, leaving the subfloor exposed. Dave did a great job replacing this portion of the floor and making it perfectly even with the rest of the floor, it feels great to walk on. I would definitely recommend him for home improvements and repairs.

The jobs went very well. They were there through the entire process and helping with the approvals and permit process. Started the work on time and worked all through the job, sometimes 7 days per week. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced. The work and quality is excellent. Goes above and beyond what is required. I won't use anyone else but Dave Breuter, Breuter Home Improvements. I highly recommend them for all your needs, Small jobs up to major construction.

GREAT. Dave is one of the best Contractors in the area. High quality workmanship, fair prices ( no surprises - never over quoted amount ). All high quality materials - Certified Building Inspector who has good ( Professional ) rapport with Construction Officials. Trustworthy and excellent communicator.

He replied to my message on 6/15/15, asking for location and phone number, which I provided. I never heard from him again.

bought it for entry door installation, but provider informed me that the door i bought wont fit, other provider installed the same door in couple of hours. so i have him do other wall project and ceiling fixing

I contacted Dave for an estimate. Dave was very responsive and showed up as promised. The project included demo of a deck, replacement of patio doors, replacement of rear entry door, repair of rotted wood, and installation of a paver patio. Upon asking if he installed the pavers himself or if he would subcontract it, he advised me that he would subcontract it to a friend. At that point I asked him if he could provide 2 estimates. One estimate for the whole job, including the paver patio, and a second estimate just for the deck demo, both door replacements, and the wood repair. His response was no problem. Almost 10 days later, I haven't heard from him at all. I'll reserve the "F" grade for the contractors who don't even show up at all.

Fast, efficient, neat and professional work and he cleaned up after. Dave was a Pro and a pleasure to work with! While we had some challenges scheduling between his work schedule and mine, once we got the time scheduled it went smoothly.

the owner was professional and did a good job. Getting him to the house was the big issue. Slow responding on messages and I wasted a day's pay waiting for him as I had to take off from work to be home and he never came saying he had another job and didn't know he was supposed to come over.

Our experience with Breuder Home Improvements was great. Scheduling was prompt and easy, and it was very easy to coordinate work via emails and a few phone calls. Quality of work was impeccable. Will certainly use again.

He tore out an old heavy front door that was out of trim with a damaged door jam. I live in an old house, circa 1920, and the walls are thicker with lathe and plaster covering and nothing was true square. He took out the old door and frame and squared up opening. He re-plastered the walls and mounted the new door and frame. He installed the new locks and cleaned up after himself and his helper. He came back the next day and put up new door trim which I had agreed to pay for above his original quote. But he used wood he already had and created a very nice new header and trim around the door, which I did not have to pay for.All in all Dave was great to work with and I will use him again for projects in the future.

From the moment of first contact, Breuder Home Improvement was exceptionally responsive. This continued through to the day of service where the vendor showed up on time and prepared to do the work as previously quoted. During the course of the day, as other minor jobs presented themselves, the vendor was patient, courteous, and flexible to assess and address each one as needed. He was kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgable about what was needed to make each and every repair. I would highly recommend him and I already plan to use Breuder Home Improvement for any services needed in the future.

He returned all my calls immediately and worked with me to find a mutually convenient time for him to do the work. He showed up when he said he would and did a quick, neat, fine job. Everything was left cleaned up. My only irritation, and it isn't a big one in these circumstances, was that he didn't really listen to some things I told him. He left a message saying that he wanted to schedule the work and I replied with a message that I wouldn't be ready to have the work done for a week or two. He then promptly called to ask if he could come the next day (uhm, no). Then I explained over the phone that I would need him to pick up materials and when he saw the ramp that needed replacing he said "you have the wood here, right?" He didn't have a problem going to get the wood for me, but he clearly didn't listen to me when I described the project.

Great service and quality of work. Will certainly use them again!!

Dave was very quick to respond to voice mails or emails. It did take some time to schedule an appointment but that is understandable since the deal is so good. It is also understandable that some jobs would be too far to drive for a small project so i don't think people should leave negative feedback for that. Luckily, we were able to work out a time/day that was good for us and Dave showed up promptly in the morning, ready to go and got a LOT done in time. He is very nice, very professional and experienced, and did very high quality work! He was meticulous in everything he did and always asked me what i prefer if a choice needed to be made so everything was done the way i would want it! He cleaned up afterwards and i am completely thrilled with the work he did and in finding a good contractor for future work!!

He was on time and worked efficiently. It took 2 weeks to get this appointment as no one was calling me back or answering my emails

I had many handyman jobs to get done. My driveway had some asphalt that needed patching. He actually went out ahead of time and purchased the asphalt, which I reimbursed him for. He blowtorched the area and it turned out perfectly! I had some woodwork that needed to be done on door. He already had all the tools and fasteners he needed for that job. He placed an electrical fixture in my dining room, and replaced a piece of rotting wood on the front of my home with a piece he says will never rot. It looks beautiful! He is a perfectionist, everything looks wonderful, and he got everything done in the allotted amount of time. He did everything to perfection and I am so pleased! I would recommend him to anyone!!

The communication was very poor and now it is too late to have the work done by the time I need it done.

We live in an older home, so the doors needed to be repaired and one replaced. The storm door was coming unscrewed from the wood due to winds blowing the door open. The screws were all replaced so it shuts slower. The hall coat closet had come off the track.I purchased a new bifold door, and the door was replaced. The powder room bath door wouldn't shut properly and was difficult to open if shut to hard. He took the door off, shaved it down so it now closes easily. The door to the living room wouldn't shut, so he repaired that so it stays shut. I purchased a ceiling fan for the kitchen, as the old one was dirty and only went on high speed. Although the repairs were small, they made a big difference, we didn't have the proper tools to do this ourselves, and wouldn't have been able to do them correctly or properly if we had tried ourselves. I would use Breuder Home Improvement again.

After several attempts to move forward to schedule work to either of two residences I have given up and hired other people to do the work at both places. It is frustrating when the deals cannot actually be used.

it went great. Dave called me promptly after I bought the service. He came by to check what was needed and did the job quicker and cleaner than I imagined. He not only replaced the rotted wood, but mentioned that there should be insulation under it. I had an extra old piece of insulation and he made that fit, doing to job even better than I hoped.

They sent me a message saying it was out of their service area.

The deal said they did painting, when they emailed me they told me they didn't do painting.

All I heard from them was "Maplewood was much too far to travel." I would have preferred more communication and instructions on refund. He needs to make his service area more clear on his profile.
