Kevin and his team were excellent - very responsive and punctual throughout the process from the initial quote, through some Q&A, and project completion. The entire project took 2 days, as scheduled. Work included removal of paint previously applied to the garage floor.

Kevin, and his Crew were EXTREMELY Punctual!! All work, was done, Professionally!! All Clean Up was done, and there were no issues, of any sort. WOULD Definitely Hire AGAIN!! Strongly RECOMMEND!!!

Let me start out by acknowledging that I am not the easiest customer to please. I am very detail oriented, and as the owner of a small company myself, I have high expectations when dealing with another small company. Now that being said, I am proud to give NJ Garage Design (and specifically the owner, Kevin) an A+, 5-star rating all around! I first started looking into getting the floor of my 3-car garage done back in May 2016. I was initially surprised at the cost for such a project, so ended up dropping the idea at the time. Then in the spring of 2017 I decided to look back into it again. A friend of my epoxied his garage floor himself, and he said that he wasn't really pleased with the results, and if he had to do it all again, he would hire someone. I didn't really know anyone in my area that had gotten their garage floor done, so I decided to simply search online for reputable looking companies, and get quotes from them. I made appointments with several different companies, and narrowed my search down to 3. I quickly expanded the project into a full garage makeover (if I was going to do it.... I wanted to do it all), which would include cleaning up the walls and ceiling, and getting cabinets and slatwall installed. All 3 companies were somewhat similar in price (some a little more, some a little less), so I based my decision on the details of each offering, and more important, what it was like to deal with each company. I had a great first impression when I met Kevin. It was nice dealing directly with the owner of the company, as you could immediately tell that it wasn't just a job to him. He genuinely cared about earning my business. NJ Garage Design includes 5 layers on the floor (2 epoxy, 1 flakes/chips, 2 clear coat), whereas the other companies included only 3 or 4 layers. The tougher part of the project was the design of the cabinets and slatwall. I reviewed the proposed designs from each company, and while they were each willing to work with me to adjust their design based on my feedback, Kevin was the most responsive and easiest to work with. He always responded to feedback/questions by the end of each day, and turned around updated designs within 24-48 hours. Kevin also provided excellent guidance in coming up with the best design to meet my needs, while also being aesthetically pleasing. While Kevin's price wasn't the cheapest, it was very competitive, and I felt it was worth paying a little more to have them do the job. Kevin carefully explained the whole process to me, from the prep and coating of the floor (a 2-day job), to the assembly and installation of the cabinets and slatwall (a 1-2 day job). However, before kicking off his portion of the project, I wanted to get the walls and ceiling cleaned up. They were bare sheetrock, and the taped seams were in bad shape. I hired a drywall company to come in and prep the walls/ceiling (taping and spackling), and then had someone else come in to do the painting. Now Kevin was able to work his magic. His crew showed up as scheduled to prep and coat the floor, and they did an amazing job. I couldn't believe what a difference it made in how the garage looked. They did the floor on a Thu/Fri, and then came back on Mon/Tue to assemble and install the cabinets and slatwall. I also took the opportunity to replace the lightbulbs in the ceiling fixtures with 4' LED plug-in shop lights. What an amazing transformation! The garage used to be a dark and dirty place. Now it is a bright/clean space that I admire every time I walk thru. Kevin even installed some cool bike racks for me to hang up all my bicycles. Kudos to Kevin and his crew! We had friends over this past weekend, and everyone loved the way it looked. While I have read reviews where some people complain about the smell, I didn't really find that to be a problem. My friends even commented that my garage had that "new car smell". If you are interested in transforming your garage, then I highly recommend you go with NJ Garage Design!

The staff ws very friendly and professional and they did a very professional great looking job. Kevin and his crew give you more for the money than anyone else. I had other contractors bid on my job and Kevin did the job for 50% less than the other contractor and gave me 5 coats of finish wherer the other contractor was only offering 3 coats for double the price.
I would not hesitate to recommend Kevin and his company to anyone and if I need additional services, they will be the first and only people I contact.

They did a beautiful job on the flooring but they were lax in cleaning up after themselves; this included cigarette butts and soda cans.

Job done somewhat sloppily but it looks nice. Many compliments. I had expected a more finished appearance at the joint between floor and wall. Material splattered on walls. Some large bubbles developed and popped during the curing period.

While the work was done well and the employees were nice, a strong odor lingers in our garage ever since they have been here. It is almost impossible to be in the garage because the smell is so strong. The company did attempt to fix the situation, however the odor persists. Even my neighbors have the odor is so bad.

Kevin was great. He showed up on time and the day that it was scheduled. I had my floor installed a year ago and it looks just as good as it did when I first got it done. It was a pleasure working with Kevin and Garage floor coatings of NJ.

Owner Kevin Kowaleski, owner of the company, first came to the house for an initial consultation. He gave a very thorough explanation of the entire process. He answered all follow questions I had promptly.  The job was a two day process with a one day break for drying. Floor turned out great. I wasn't home for the first day of the process, but  left access to the garage for the workers. Floor looked great when I got home later in the day. Garage was cleaned up very nicely. After a day break, Kevin returned with a worker to seal the floor with two coats. I was home for this process and watched it being performed. The after smell wasn't terrible, though we did have to keep windows open to help a bit. Floor looked fantastic when job was complete(two days of not walking or putting anything on the floor to allow proper drying). We have received many compliments on how nice it looks. Garage floor stays so clean now vs the old concrete floor. Just sweeping out dirt with a broom and once a month washing the floor with warm water and a cup of  vinegar and the floor remains great looking. One thing I will say, during the winter months  when snow is bought in on the tires or melts off from the car, the water  does not absorb into floor like the plain old concrete. Hence water sits on floor, so we have to use a squeegee to get water off the floor. In my opinion it is still worth putting up with this during the winter months for rest of the year. Overall we are very pleased with the floor and with Mr. Kowaleski's company Garage Floor Coating of Greater New Jersy. They did a very professional job and I would highly  recommend  using Mr. Kowaleski.

The process only takes two days - you don't even need to be home. The only drawback is that it's very smelly and you can detect the smell even inside your house. To help the odor dissipate faster we'd open the garage door during the day to let fresh air circulate through the garage. If you want a nice looking garage floor without stains or cracks I'd definitely recommend Garage Floor Coatings.

Everything was done professionally, timely and courteously. We wouldn't have done this any other way and are very happy with the results. Many good comments from our neighbors.

I am still thrilled with the floor and it looks exactly like it did on the first day. I've passed on Kevin's information to several people who saw the floor and wanted one just like it for their own garage. This is the best process and product and Kevin's knowledge and service can't be beat.

Kevin was always right on time, walked me through why his process was superior to "do it yourself" applications, as well as why it was superior to his competitors. He provided a timely estimate, which we quickly agreed to. We scheduled the installation/process, again Kevin and his team were right on time and did an outstanding job, our garage floor is nicer that most rooms in our home! We had a number of projects done at our home before we moved in. I would rate the garage floor project as one of the best of them. Kevin was punctual, professional and courteous. He listened to our needs, explained the process and reviewed all of the options. They performed the work on schedule and were very clean and neat. After the work was complete, we noticed some small clear epoxy bubbles on the floor, but Kevin explained that was not unusual for work done in Summer months and came back and took care of it promptly.

The day I closed on my new construction house, Kevin and his crew were there bright and early preparing the garage floor for what would be one of the best home improvements I would ever make.  They were very attentive to my concerns, as I tend to be a pain in the neck, watching and questioning everything.  Needless to say, the floor came out perfect.  There is nothing I would change.  With the epoxy floor Garage Floor Coatings has installed, the garage is truly an extension of my home.  It is very clean, and just doesn't look or feel like a "garage" anymore.
It has been over two years now since Kevin did my floor, and it looks exactly as it did he day he finished.  Maintenance is a no brainier as well.  In the summer time a hose and squeegee works perfectly for me, and in the winter months, I'm able to wash it with a mop and water.  It truly is that easy.  As you can probably tell, I truly love my garage floor, and extremely happy with the entire experience.

Kevin's work was refreshingly professional and meticulous. Unlike other projects, his was surprisingly non-disruptive. The change from what the floor was to what he did is constantly pleasant. Instead of dusty, ugly concrete, he provided something beautiful and durable. Maintenance is not required except for the occasional mopping up rainwater dripping from the cars. We are still amazed by his skill on the stem walls. It is a little sad to obscure the floor with our cars. He was also very accommodating with the change we requested regarding the scheduling of the work.

All in all, we are quite pleased with our experience with Kevin and his company and would highly recommend him to anyone interested.
