I usually only leave positive reviews, but after years of giving John McAvoy Landscaping chances, I feel it?s important to share my experience. The first two summers were just average, but this year has been extremely disappointing. The lawn was constantly cut unevenly, and I had to call every week asking them to lower the mower deck. I was repeatedly told weeds would be handled, but they were done inconsistently and eventually ignored. Most recently, the crew didn?t even attempt the weeds along the sidewalk ? they simply skipped that side of the house. When I confronted the issue, I was told they ?don?t do weeds? and only mow ? even though the service was different in past years and this was never communicated. Poor communication, dishonesty, and inconsistent work make this the worst landscaping experience I?ve had.

Terrible service. Cut lawn and leave huge clumps of cuttings on lawn because they don’t pick up clippings or blow the clippings away. Caused damage and broke two items on property. Took months to get reimbursed. Would never recommend this service.

John and his crew are professional and thorough. Highly recommended

They show up once a week on the same day every week to mow and edge the lawn.  They are quick and efficient and always show up.

They did a good job, but they don't really mow the lawn right near the patio and on the edges. I did call and complain and John did his job in ensuring it was done, but then a month later, they stopped mowing the edge again.
I would recommend them for mowing the lawn as the price is good.

It has been a pleasure. Their service is great, he does what he tells me he is going to do and he does it on time.

We started using John McEvoy Lawn Maintenance last year, when we realized we were just too busy to do the lawn every week.
They provided an estimate that was in line with our neighbor's son, but they do a lot more, using a trimmer and cleaning up nicely. Very happy with the service. Additionally, when we had to cancel for a week (due to new seedings), they didn't come - which is just as important. My neighbors had issues with cancellations never working out and getting billed anyway.

We have had a very positive experience with this service for the past 2+ years. Our lawn looks terrific during the summer months and I seriously doubt any other service out there provides the same quality service for the low cost they do. We highly recommend John McEvoy Lawn Maintenance.

They came, they cut the lawn well, just as promised.

Service was fine.

They do a fine job, but are a little unpredictable based on weather. You have a three day timeframe within which they may show up and do the work. This is inconvenient during the summer with little ones outside, having to watch for their machinery and clean up toys from the yard every day. They are quite inexpensive and do good job - remember their appointed service day can vary depending upon rain.

It's a wonderful company. They are reasonable priced. I have a fairly large lawn that he cuts for me, and it is $27 each time they come out.
