Liberty Technology partially installed a totally different camera system from the one that was quoted (different cameras, different cabling, different recording/playback device). The partially installed system utilized cat5 cable and 1 NVR. He never asked our permission to install this other system. I believe that Gerry thought that we wouldn't notice that the installed hardware did not match his quotes. In the beginning of the installation we mentioned to Gerry that we needed a couple of more business phones. He told us that he had new surplus phones that he would sell us at a discounted price. What he gave us were used and refurbished phones, but sold to us at "new phone" prices. It has been over a year since he began the security system job, and it is still unfinished. In that time he accused us of stealing 2 of our own cameras that he left unsecured on-site, he left hundreds of yards of unused coaxial cable strung throughout our building, his employees asked us to sign invoices for work that they never completed, and he demanded that we pay for the balance owed on the wrong camera system that he never completed. In areas where Liberty attached cameras to the building facade, his technicians missed their marks, and left a number of gaping holes in our building's exterior walls. They left the job without patching them or even notifying us. Libertystill has yet to install 3 cameras and hundreds of feet of cabling. The cameras that were installed, were installed in areas that were easiest and cheapest for his technicians to install them. They weren't installed in the areas that we indicated on blueprints. When Liberty employees left, they left our server room a mess with bird nests of cabling, no cable management, patch cables tangled, and cable and wire clippings strewn all over the floor. They took no pride in organizing their cables or cleaning up after themselves. The single NVR that Liberty installed is so under-powered that our camera system frequently freezes, crashes, and needs to be restarted. It is beyond frustrating when it takes 2 hours to playback 30 seconds of video footage. In the end, after partially installing a non-functioning camera system Liberty claimed that we owed them the balance of approximately $2,000 for an unfinished job. The final nail in the coffin: We asked another IT vendor to upgrade and support our phone system. We paid for our phone system, in full, years ago. Liberty is now holding hostage the administrative password for our own phone system. Gerry from Liberty is keeping our system's password, that we paid for years ago, hostage because he failed to install a camera system. Without our own password, we are locked out of our own phone system. This behavior seems borderline illegal to me. Liberty Technology Solutions and Gerry Gordon are the most unprofessional technology company that I have come across. From communicating, scheduling, invoicing, attention to detail, and job completion; they are horrible. Their faulty and incomplete installation, business practices, and behavior have detrimentally hurt our business, our ability to use our phone system, and our ability to monitor our premises and protect our property. I hope that none of you have to experience what Gerry Gordon and Liberty Technology Solutions has put us through. Please read the other reviews posted on other websites; 9 out of 10 of them are extremely negative.
Description of Work: For some background: our business is located on 5 acres of property in a 25,000 square foot building. Gerry Gordon is the owner of Liberty Technology Solutions. He quoted us a 24 camera security system installation utilizing coaxial cable to carry the signals long distances to 2 DVR's. A quarter of the way through the job, it became abundantly clear that the job was beyond Liberty Technology's abilities.
