JOB WENT VERY WELL. MY WIFE CAN FIND FAULT WITH A SAINT AND SHE HAD NO FAULTS ANDLOVED THE JOB,THE COURTESY OF THE PAINTERS, MARK THE OWNER CAME TO OUR HOUSE AND GAVE AN ESTIMATE AND IT WAS ACCURATE. I MADE A CHANGE WHICH WAS TO PAINT THE INSIDES OF THE CLOSETS AND IT WAS NO PROBLEM, I WILL HIRE THEM AGAIN TO DO MY LIVING ROOM. PRIOR TO GETTING CERTA PRO I WAS RIPPED OFF BY MICHAEL'S PAINTING AND ANGIES LIST RECOMMENDED DEREK DEVITO. HE CAME TO OUR HOUSE BUT DID NOT SEND ME AN ESTIMATE AS HE HAD PRMISED. HE HAD TOO MANY JOBS PROBABLY. THAT EXPERIENCE MAKES ME STEER AWAY FROM INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS IF I CAN AVOID THEM.

I had some work done with another company who subcontracted Certa Pro to stain and paint some doors.
It took a couple weeks for Certa Pro to contact me to make an appointment. Once the call was made (I missed it) I returned their phone call within 20 minutes. I didn't get a call back for a week.
Once my appointment was made, I specifically asked what time the crew would arrive so I would have someone home to greet them. On the day of my appointment, the crew arrived 15 minutes early, found no one home (my husband had run out to grab something at Wawa) and left.
I returned the voicemail left for me, and was told that I needed to reschedule because the crew was already well on their way out of town. I rescheduled for two days later & was told that I'd be "first thing" in the morning at 8:30am.
The date of the second appointment arrived, and my husband didn't dare leave the house. When it got to be 9am, I called Certa Pro & was advised that they should be there between 8:30-9:30am, not 8:30 as promised.
The work was in progress, and the front door needed another coat of stain and a clear coat. The crew advised my husband that they would be back the next day to finish up & that someone would give us a call.
I recieved a voicemail late the same day, and returned the call the next morning to inquire as to when the crew would arrive. It's now 11:30AM, and my husband is stuck in the house waiting on the crews arrival as I cannot get anyone to return a phone call to me. The phones go into voicemail.
It's clear to me that Certa Pro does work on their own timing with no consideration for their customers.
This experience was unfortunate, because I have some paiting that I need to contract out which I was considering allowing them to bid on. Obviously, I will go elsewhere
"Dear [member name removed], It is regrettable that you feel as you do toward CertaPro. Our customer satisfaction index of 98% indicates otherwise, and many of our customers would and do refer us to their friends and acquaintances. Regarding the project in question, we received your contact information on Thursday, August 15th; we called and left a message on Monday, August 19th and again on August 21st. We scheduled the job for September 5th. We make every effort to contact our prospective customers in a timely manner. We consider each customer important to us and we strive to provide the personalized service that makes us different from other painting contractors. Our customers are given a starting time window between 8:30 and 9:30 am. The time is approximate, since it is hard to predict traffic volume on any given day. In this case however, we arrived 15 minutes early and tried to contact you to let you know. By the time you returned our call and after waiting a fair amount of time, the crew decided to move on to the next job. It is customary for our crews to do this to avoid having to charge for the additional time. At the end of the first day, the crew and your husband scheduled the 2nd coat and clear coat for the next day, later in the evening. The crew could not, and did not, give him an exact time line. Your husband assured the crew that it was acceptable. When you called about the time they would arrive that night, you were given an option to hold off until the next morning or have them return that evening, as previously scheduled. You opted for that evening. The job was completed on Friday, September 6th. We at CertaPro make every effort to meet the needs of all of our customers and feel that we have done so regarding your project."
