DISASTER ( to sum it up in one word):
In 2001, my home was diagnosed with termites, I contracted with A Bell Termite and Pest Control to treat and paid an annual fee until July 2011. I was not made aware of any termite activity or required treatment during that 10 year period. It is a rental and I had the same tenant over that 10 year period and always asked to coordinate the visits with the tenant. In March 2012 I started the process of refinancing my property. The appraiser noted significant termite damage and concerns of structural damage. The mortgage company contacted me on June 19, 2012 and told me that my house was not mortgageable (based on the termite damage shown in the appraisers report) and that I had to have an immediate termite inspection, repair of the termite damage and a structural engineer report to express an opinion if the house is structurally sound.) This was a complete surprise since I had contracted A Bell over the past 10 years for annual inspections and what I thought were preventable treatments to avoid such a situation. I phoned A Bell and the customer service could not find in their computer tracking system or records the last time my house had been inspected. I requested several times for the principal / owner to return my call but I was told that the owner probably would not return my calls (which he did not) and this attempt was unsuccessful. I repeatedly stated to the A Bell customer service representative that I was extremely upset and that my damages were due to A Bell Termite & Pest Control gross negligence.
After months of lack of response, I filed court case for several thousand dollars of damage, obtained a judgment and their insurance company in the end settled the judgment.
THEREFORE I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A Bell Termite and Pest Control..
