Having had work done in my home from small tasks to significant renovations I have encountered several contractors who perform marginal or substandard work so I decided to source a reputable contractor from Angi. After reading the comments and reviews, I arranged a personal meeting with Mike Melia for my bathroom renovation. Mike responded quickly to evaluate and explore and explain the best options while taking into consideration my handicaps. Throughout the project there was much infrastructure from prior work performed and existing conditions. Mike addressed all structural problems, plumbing and electrical repairs including a new sub panel. Mike has remarkable attention to detail for every aspect of work and he completed the work with a high standard of professionalism with his employees and subcontractors. Mike was on site everyday in constant communication with myself and my insurance company. He was unexpectedly neat and clean throughout the process. This very challenging project could not have gone smoother. He is personally knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. I would highly recommend Mike and his team. I am now using Mike and his team to build a full deck and to make structural repairs to my garage. Mike was great. So great in fact that 5 years later I hunted around in my emails to get this info for another job. One of the best experiences we ever had. He repaired main door and have had no issues since he did so.

Mike was great to work with. I hired him to renovate my primary bedroom and bath. While the bedroom only needed a basic refresh, the bathroom was a full gut remodel including moving fixtures and windows. During the course of the project, we encountered many problems with infrastructure from prior remodels. He fixed all structural problems, electrical updates, and installed a new window which also required re-shingling the outside of my home and matching the existing exterior paint. He has a remarkable attention to detail, and all work was completed to a high standard. His worked passed all inspections on the first try. He also has a deep rolodex of excellent subcontractors for every piece of the work. The project took longer than anticipated (some of which was due to my schedule, change orders, and delays in materials I ordered), but he was on site every day and was in constant communication with me on every detail. He worked clean and took care with my home throughout the process.

Mike Melia helped us remodel our powder room. He suggested places to buy toilet and faucets and installed those and our new sink, cabinet, light and ceramic tile floor. Price was more than reasonable and Mike’s near obsessive attention to detail really paid off. We get lots of compliments on the work.

He took extra care to keep my home clean while working on several indoor repairs. He mounted my family room tv, reversed the laundry room door, and installed ceiling lights. I look forward to working with him on the remaining items I need repaired.

Michael came early on the day when he said he would and worked straight through until the electrical work was done. He was very attentive about where I wanted each of the outlets; he bent the conduit to ensure that it was flush and in the most unobtrusive placement. As a result he had a little trouble snaking wires through the curved conduit, but he refused to charge me for the extra labor that entailed. The second day he removed the 1/4 inch plate mirror off the wall carted it away and disposed of it in an environmentally safe disposal location. (who knew that mirror silvering is toxic.) He also removed the cabinet and wet bar and capped the pipes in the wall. His price was very reasonable; he came when he said he would and finished the work quickly. Michael cleared up after himself and moved furniture back in place. We would absolutely hire him again.

Everything went very well. I am very happy with all of the work that he did. I have a few more jobs that he will be doing. He was extremely pleasant and efficient and cleaned up after every job. I am a senior citizen and have let many things go unattended. I made a resolution when I retired that I was going to declutter, fix up and organize my home. Mike has helped me do that. It was a blessing that I found him and will continue to have him help me organize my home. My dog even liked him.

Most comprehensive, professional & quality work ever done on our home. Deck stairs now rock solid after replacement of cleats. Mike cured water intrusion in breezeway ceiling & repaired rotted joists/beams & beadboard planking. Two of our interior stairwells needed banisters, which Mike had fabricated to match others in our 1932-built home. Finished items were outrageous. Not the lowest bidder, but worth every penny to have every service completed on schedule & PERFECTLY!

Mike was the epitome of prefressionialism, customer focus and worked with integrity. I can’t say enough about how perfect the experience was. We especially loved how clean he was. He always put down tarps and cleaned up after himself. One last note: The most telling indicator on Mike. My mother lives with us and is almost impossible to please. She loved Mike :)

It was great. He arrived when he said he would, did the job, went above and beyond to help with set up and clean up. Even provided some assistance with ideas for rug placement.

I am very happy with Mike’s work! Mike renovated my basement which included removing the ceiling and installing a new laminate floor. I had concerns about how to get the flooring under the new boiler and water heater but he and Jeff did a terrific job. They had to work to even out the floor and attach baseboard molding to a concrete wall and everything turned out beautiful! Mike also installed a new bathroom vanity which was very complicated as the original 1958 one had been installed directly into the wall not on top of the tile. The bathroom looked amazing after it was finished.

Mike was amazing. He assessed the issue correctly, allotted the correct amount of time (8 hrs) and got the job done in one day. He spent about 45 minutes assessing the front door situation. After his work was completed, we were completely satisfied. The front door was no longer drafty, seals tight, and kept the furnace from running all day. He is a great person and a responsible professional. I would hire him again immediately. In fact, we are.

Our back landing and stairs were in disrepair and needed to be completely rebuilt. My next door neighbor referred me to Mike. He provided a very specific written explanation of the work he would perform and the pricing was very reasonable so we hired him. He and his partner Jeff completed the project as promised and kept my mother and me informed about the progress of the job so we had a clear understanding of what was being done. Mike's work is meticulous and he is a stickler for the smaller details. We are quite pleased with our landing and stairs!
