Christopher Dayan Security has serviced over 14,000 clients in our 25 years in business, and has completed 95% of our jobs the same day. After finishing school, Christopher Dayan worked for six years, as an apprentice and journeyman for two locksmith/security companies. In 1991, after having completed his Certified Master Locksmith testing, he went into business for himself. Frequently he would go to customers' properties because they said the locks were broken. But the cause of the broken locks was the door itself. That was the beginning of his expansion into commercial door repair. As the business has grown, and the industry has changed direction, he has added new technologies into the business including buzzer entry systems, magnetic locks, access systems, camera systems, intercoms, doorbells etc. Customers often ask for other services--from the large project to the small. Meet the Business Owner Christopher D. Business Owner Free time is infrequent, but family time is important. We get away for a day to the shore when there is time. Northern New Jersey is really a beautiful area, and we really enjoy the diversity of the area

"In early 2004, yes 12 years ago, the [Member Name Removed]'s called and asked if we could put new locks on their home. The bill was 356.37. Well it turns out they are getting divorced and don't pay the bill. After our attorney put a lien on their house, we receive pennies on the dollar, many months later. A year or so later [Member Name Removed] calls and asks us to do work on his tavern. We meet with him and ask him to pay the balance that they owe us. He refuses. We say, we cannot work for you if you don't pay your bills. No work was done. We have not seen them since. We do have the legal paperwork to prove this. We discussed this with Angie's list before responding. We tried to contact the customer at the number listed for their tavern, but it is a non working number. We find this unbelievable after 12 years someone does something like this, very distasteful. We value all our customers and take our reputation seriously. We encourage all our customers to contact us if they ever have any concerns. 12/1/16"
"Our initial call from the customer related to the fact that their storm door was locked in the closed position, on 12/11/15. The lock had broken internally and we opened it. This was one service call for $110.00. The separate 2nd part was to replace the lock. We discussed cost, and the customer approved us trying to find a replacement. After 2-3 hours of research and stopping at distributors we found out who made the lock. There is only one source for it from the manufacturer itself. The order time would be 2-4 weeks. In order to expedite their special order, we offered to pick up the customer's deposit, another hour of our time. Upon the lock arriving early we installed it, and it was an exact fit, for $230.00 parts and labor. All totaled we had 5-6 hours of work into two separate jobs, and a total of three trips to the property,"
"Thank you for your kind words. Our suppliers have the finishes they have in stock the day we ask, i.e. the day we did the job. So many times, they don't have all the finishes available, which was the case here. It would be a special order. This is true with all the products we use. Also home supply centers have products made by the manufacturer for them, which are not available in our supply chains. Things changed dramatically from the recession, suppliers have much tighter inventories, keeping products on the shelf, including the finish, by how well they sell."
Would go to Dayan again for a asfe solution. Excellent work.
