I contacted A3 Superior on a Saturday morning when my husband and I discovered that we had bed bugs in our house. When we made this realization, I was absolutely horrified, to say the least. I immediately called about 4 exterminators that I found on the internet, and A3 was the first to call me back. The company owner, Jeff, took the time to listen to me panic and calmly gave me some first steps to take. All of this...from the sidelines of his son's soccer game. Jeff told me that he would have someone to our home as soon as possible. Later that day (Saturday), Jeff's colleague Peter called. I had so many questions, like "what can we do until the extermination? How am I supposed to sleep in my bed (a must when dealing with bed bugs)? And, how did this happen? Peter spent 45 minutes with me on the phone answering questions, and was very reassuring. He told me exactly what kind of mattress protector to go out and buy, and even looked up which Mattress Giant locations had what I needed in stock for me. On the call, I decided that I would like A3 to do a walk-through with their bed bug sniffing dog, Bella. They mentioned that they have a team of three dogs, which is amazing. That Tuesday, Peter showed up at our apartment with Bella. First, Peter walked through without the dog and inspected. He said that he did not see any evidence of bed bugs, which meant that it was most likely a new infestation, if we had one at all. Peter explained that A3 will NOT complete/charge for bed bug removal if they don't actually think bed bugs are present (unlike many other companies out there). Next, Bella came in. It was amazing to see her in action. She calmly walked around our entire apartment, and walked the diameter of the bed. When she got to a corner, she sniffed--then sniffed again--and sure enough, started scratching. That is her "signal" that there are bugs present. Bella then found that there were bugs in the pullout mattress of our couch. The next order of business was to arrange a treatment. Peter explained that if the bugs were only in one room, we could possibly do a chemical treatment, but because they were present in two rooms (living and bedroom), we should do thermal, or "heat treatment," to be on the safe side. I wanted to do whatever necessary to be rid of the things! We arranged the treatment for the following Monday. The treatment requires a team of three--two workmen, and Peter was there to oversee the process. They arrived at 8:30 am on the day of treatment, and I walked them through the apartment to show them around. I was leaving for the day and felt very comfortable leaving the workmen there. They were gentlemen and gave me their cell phone numbers so I could call and check-in when needed. I arrived home at 4:00 that afternoon to check in. They were finishing up the job, and the heat was still blasting. That night, my husband and I came in around 9:00--and the heat was at 89 degrees! We happily slept in the heat and opened our windows--it was the first good sleep I had had in over a week. My paranoia soon set in, and I was convinced the bugs were back. Peter happily came back to the house to inspect--free of charge--and found nothing. He event sprayed chemicals around our bed for my peace of mind. I strongly recommend A3 to anyone going through this traumatic experience--they understand sense of urgency, very important when dealing with this.
