JV Pool Plastering Inc

I did hire the company only made an inquiry as follows. From the website it seems the company offers a complete list of pool repair services. I emailed pictures of repairs I was interested in that involved mortar/cement repairs under the edge deck of the pool. The companies response said they didn't do that sort of work. Quite surprised as this is likely a common problem. No further help was offered.

After we decided to go with this company, the work was done it 3 stages. At the initial sales visit in September 2009, we picked out all materials and had to give one third down payment in cash or cashier's check. We wanted the worked completed asap, but due to the fact that the tile we picked was backordered this did not happen. In February of 2010, JV called us and told us that they could not get the tile that we ordered and wanted us to pick another tile. We declined and they asked if we could work with them on this. We again declined and told them we will wait until you can get the tile that we ordered. We want what we originally ordered and nothing else.  They were not happy. Mysteriously the tile was delivered to our back yard within 24 hours. The tile was installed first & the next installment due. This was followed by the replastering and coping. At this time the final installment was due even though the job was not complete as the chaulking had to be done 2 weeks later. They did not show up within the next 2 weeks to finish the job. We had to call them and they told us that it was there busy season, so they were not exactly sure when they would be out to finish. I sent an email telling them how unhappy I was, since they already had full payment & they had not finished the job. They showed up several days later to finish. The workers were good, however when they cleaned up the cement equipment, they left all of what was washed out in the street in front of the house. We had to try and wash it down ourselves, but most of it hardened and we could not get rid of it.   
We had a few issues that we wanted corrected and and they made a comment referring to the fact that we were being too picky, supposedly in jest which I did not find funny.
There are several places where the work was not done well and the coping had a lot of chips in it which they tried to tell us was normal, but when we checked into this we found that was not true.

So all in all the job was average at best. Once the company got your money you were  moved further down on the list before everything was completed. They would move to the next customer so that they would have cash coming in consistently as they dealt on a cash only basis. Some of the materials and work done was substandard.  Poor customer service and no follow up to see if job was done to our satisfaction.  I seriously would not recommend this company
