The Artisan Framer

Three weeks after leaving the drawing and paying in full (as required), the job was still on hold despite allowing for the holidays. The owner did not respond to two phone messages, and I became increasingly concerned when I discovered that both the email address on the invoice and the "contact us" tab on the website do not function. When I finally spoke to the owner, she appeared to be unaware of the fact that I had previously left two messages. I was relieved when she agreed to cancel the job, refund my money and return my drawing. Unfortunately, my relief was short lived. Inexplicably, the owner had failed to inform me that the delayed framing supplies had miraculously arrived and that she had already framed the piece despite the cancellation. Besides being amazed at how quickly the unavailable supplies had suddenly materialized, I was very unhappy that she allowed me to think that she had honored my request to cancel. Although the owner repeatedly stated that all she wanted was to make her customers happy, I was certainly not happy with the way in which she handled this matter. As a matter of fact, I was very troubled by the difficulties I had trying to contact her and her subsequent miscommunication.
