I was looking to purchase a hammer drill and did not know much about them.  As soon as I began looking at them, a sales associate who was knowledge with the product answered all my questions.  As a result I made the purchase.  I find most Home Depot Sales Associates to be very outgoing, friendly and helpful.

I had an  Andersen Casement window with broken glass.  I searched the web for Andersen service.  The only one in my area was Home Depot.  The salesperson came out, was very knowledgable, or so it seemed.  He said that because it's a double casement window he would have to replace both windows for  $1616.  And the replacement, while being custom made would be about an inch narrower which means I would have to have the blinds shortened/replaced as well.
I asked a contractor friend and he told me Andersen window have been around for a long time and have a great service department.  We contacted Andersen directly, ordered a replacement window (just the part that was broken) for $500 and did the replacement ourselves.  It was easy.
When I asked the Home Depot rep why he didn't recommend this, he said they don't do repairs only full replacements!

The work was beautiful but the price went beyond belief because of a cabinet measurement error that they would not pick up the money on. I fought and fought with that but the workmanship was good and I have a quartz countertop which worked out well. I will not use them again in the future  

Installation was horrible (Hack job). When bedroom doors are shut you should only see hall rug from hallway, but see bedroom rugs too and cuts are crooked. Loose rug also in places, corners on all stairs done choppy and can see wood on some corners. Nails sticking out on underside have cut me. Left opened box of razor blades out in children's bathroom! That could have been a disaster. UPDATE: The manager agreed it was a bad installation and they reordered and reinstalled the rug and it turned out beautifully.
