I have had at least two different technicians out to help me. One was a plumbing specialist. The other was a heating specialist. Both techs were knowledgable, professional, patient and did very good work. I determined them to be reliable and honest. However, they have a practice (which may be common, I don't know) of coming on site, determining what they need, then when they go to pick up the necessary parts they charge full rate for the driving and shopping time. When it was an emergency (like with the hot water heater) I kind of allowed it. However for a more recent job, I asked why they could not order the parts and have them shipped rather than my paying for all that driving time? As a result of this policy, their pricing for a water filter installation seemed quite high, so I did not hire them. I am going to get some alternate bids. Also, Don, the owner, always takes my calls and questions. However, on some occasions he did not follow up with info as promised.
