He started off by showing up on the first day of the job without a building permit. He told me that I told him that I didn't want one. This was a complete fabrication and delayed the start of the job by about a month. He then proceeded to use one employee to do all of the work in our home. This employee was someone who did just about everything regarding home renovation but none of it well. A Jack of all trades and master of none. We had Mikhel come back many, many, many times after this employee did sub-par work only to have it redone over and over again. Finally with about 15% of the work left to be done Mikhel walked off the job without completing the work. We have since had to have electrical work redone because of inferior work which could have caused a fire in our home. This was capped off today when we had a problem with the kitchen sink leaking. The plumber we called told us that the faucet was installed in an inferior and shoddy manner. That the installation of the piping was not up to code and that Estlink cut corners installing the faucet thus causing a major leak that we experienced today. The result of the shoddy work, which could have been avoided by Estlink with minor and inexpensive changes at the time of installation, is that the entire faucet must be replaced. The replacement of this perfectly good faucet will probably cost us about $600 plus another $400 in labor costs. Due to the inferior installation of the piping by Estlink the plumber we have hired to replace the faucet will need to expend more time than usual to work around Estlink's lousy work to install the new faucet. This will double the labor hours necessary to do the job. I would caution anyone against using Estlink for any home renovation or new construction.
