"I would like to address any dissatisfaction you had with us, such that you only gave a rating of 'B'. There are no details by which to judge why you say you would not hire us again. If there are aspects of your project that I can address to make you more satisfied, please contact me, or respond to the email I sent you. We consider every client of ours to be part of the ShelfGenie family, and strive for 100 percent satisfaction."
"I am confused and disappointed by this review. Ms. [Member name] did not purchase anything from us, and therefore, any mention of Project Cost, Quality and Date Work Completed does not reflect actual events. Our quality of both materials and service is unsurpassed, which is why we can offer a lifetime guarantee on our Classic and Designer lines. Ms. [Member name] has no basis upon which to rate our Quality as 'C'. We have a high end custom product and service, which is not for everyone. The main complaint seems to be that the price is too high, and the discount was not enough. We clearly state the parameters of the discount in the Big Deal description. The average price of a project is stated to be in the $2500 range, and as far as I can tell from my records, the initial design that we did came in at $2600 or $2700 list price. The average cost was also communicated in a separate direct message prior to her asking me to come to do the design. (An hour away on a Sunday, to accommodate her schedule.) A $300 discount on that size project is larger than we give through most other advertisements. We then downsized the project to a small, approximately $1100 one, still with the $300 discount, bringing her cost down to $958. That level of savings is unheard of within ShelfGenie, but we stand by our offer. Ms. [Member name] actually agreed to go ahead with this project, as I quote: "Perfect, let's go ahead with this. What do I need to do to get them ordered?" [May 6, 2015] She asked about the payment method for the deposit, and I agreed to an electronic form of payment that I don't usually take. I sent the files to be printed and signed, but never received them back, nor did I receive any response to messages left. I later saw that she had requested and received a refund for the Big Deal purchase. I simply do not understand the basis for this review, as no transaction ever took place, and every interaction we had was handled professionally."
"Thank you for your feedback. I always try to be very upfront about the pricing, both in the Big Deal listing itself, and in the email that send in advance of the visit. The exact email states: "Many people are curious about our pricing. Because everything we do is custom designed for your particular situation, we can't give an exact price until we do the design. A small project is considered to be 4 custom GlideOuts, which costs about $1100-$1300 and up, depending on the materials and options you pick. The average project we do is in the $2500 range." The quote for a simple design and installation was under $2000, but a more functional design that would work more effectively was over $3000. The space was unusually shaped, and several options were presented to make the best use of that space. Based on your feedback, I will try to be even more precise regarding the price ranges that people can expect. I am also looking to modify the Big Deal offer to more closely match what clients are actually purchasing. Thank you again for taking the time to give your valuable feedback, as it will help improve the experience for future Angie's List members."
