This is the 2nd time that this guy flooded my basement. The first time several years ago, I wrote off as "things happen" . Several other visits went without incident. However, his visit on 4/17/2016 turned into a nightmare. He was called to service my water conditioning system and to fix a small leak on one of the fittings going into the system. I can say that he was very responsive and in hindsight, I wish he had never showed up. He first added whatever material they use to the tank of the conditioner. I later found out from the plumber I had to call to clean up this guys mess that he didn't even do that right. Anyway, when it came to fix the leaky fitting, things went very badly. He first didn't have the material he needed and had to run back to his shop. Still couldn't fix it. Then asked to borrow sandpaper and a torch, he didn't have one. At one point in time, my wife was becoming very uneasy with the way he was behaving in our basement. He was talking to himself, swearing (dropping the F Bomb) etc. She became so uneasy, that she came and got me. I listened for a minute as he carried. He was swearing and acting like a 5 year old the way he was carrying on. I then went down to speak to him about it. I reminded him that he was supposed to be a professional and that his behavior was unacceptable and alarming the members of my family. I realized at this point that he was melting down, so I just told him to go home and come back in the morning. I'll deal with no water for the rest of the night. He assured me he could pipe around the tank and at least give me water. I balked at this offer but he assured me it was an easy fix and would take 15 minutes. And that's when lighting struck twice. The guy went ahead and cut a pipe without first making sure the water supply to the tank was off. As the water poured into my basement, all he could do was scream and start carrying on, meanwhile doing nothing to stop the water flow. I eventually ran down and killed the breaker to my water tank. This after 2-3 minutes from a well pump taht does 3-5 gallons a minute. Gallons of water on the carpeted floor (finished basement), water all over the walls, ceiling, everywhere. At this point, I threw him out of my house. I had to call a real plumber after hours on a Friday night just to get water back for the night. $350.00. Spent until 3 am trying to dry out the carpets and clean his mess up. AS of this writing, I now have mold starting to grow where I could get it completely dry. So there's more money for cleanup. And, I had a plumber come in to fix what he could not at $550.00. Plus this guy tells me he didn't even service the unit correctly. And the icing on the cake is that after this whole episode, I receive a bill from West Jersey Water Treatment. UNBELIEVABLE! This company cost me triple what it should've cost and now wants to bill me on top of it. Filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs and also speaking to an attorney about suing for damages and to recoup some of my losses. I am totally appalled by Roger Greene's lack of professionalism and his inability to provide a service that he advertises. Needless to say, I would not recommend this guy to ANYONE
