For those who do not wish to read a long post I will give you the point immediately...Newton and Mayfair Remodeling Corp are by the far THE BEST contractors you can ever hire to have anything done to your home. For those who wish to find out why...read on. I had A LOT done to my home. The second floor was torn off and rebuilt, a mudroom was added to the back of the house, a full porch was added to the front, new siding, new roof, an attic, new system of air and heat added as well. The job was completed....I repeat COMPLETED...in 3 months!!!!!! See the pics for the transformation! Reasons why you should select Mayfair Remodeling Corp: 1. PUNCTUAL AND AVAILABLE - Newton, who is the owner of Mayfair Remodeling Corp, is punctual and available. I have dealt with many contractors over the years (owning my home now for 16 years) and I have also seen firsthand what many contractors are like given the remodeling done to my parents home when I was younger....let me stress this....NEWTON IS NOT LIKE ANY OTHER CONTRACTOR YOU WILL EVER MEET! If he says he will be there, he will be there on time or even early. If he says his men will be there...you can count on it. Over the course of 3 months, Newton never missed an appointment or job. In fact, he even worked weekends to get things done more quickly. Whenever I called Newton to ask a question, he picked up. There was never once that I felt as though I was not a priority. One other example is one day as the framing was being done and the workers had finished for the day, they put up a tarp because it was supposed to rain that evening. It was extremely windy as well and part of the tarp came away from the house. I noticed this at 8 pm! I called Newton...not only did he pick up, but he came over immediately and took care of the situation HIMSELF!!! Where else are you going to get that kind of attention...the answer...NOWHERE!!! 2. WORKERS ARE TOP NOTCH - When the crew arrives at your home...they work and they work hard. They are able to accomplish tasks and complete assignments in much less time than the average contractor. (I know this having gone through a similar job with my parents - their job took 8 months to complete) His men want to please the customer and go above and beyond the call of duty. 3. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - Newton is a perfectionist and wants to make sure that anything with his name on it is done right and looks good. My wife and I were always very happy with all the work that was being done. Everything turned out perfectly! 4. MINDSET - Newton's mindset and motto ( I say Motto because he always said this) is "Just tell me what you want and then it is my job to make it happen! There were many little things that my wife and I wanted with this enormous project. One thing in particular was for Newton and his crew to construct a bench that wrapped around our hexagonal dormer of windows. When we suggested it...Newton said, "No problem. I will get it done." Not only did he get it done, but he had his painter come in and paint it to match the décor of the room, which was not even something we expected. He made it look more beautiful than we even thought it could be! He didn't have to do this, he just did because his name was on it and he wanted it to look amazing! 5. GENEROSITY - Newton is a generous person. He is giving of his time, makes you feel like you are his only priority, and he makes sure that his crew exudes the same feelings. After a huge renovation such as the one he did, Newton needed to come back and fix some of the cracks in the ceilings of the rooms underneath the new construction on our second floor. (This is standard in any construction of this nature) Newton, of course, came in with his crew and did just that, BUT he did even more...he went on to fix EVERY SINGLE CRACK in our walls - even ones that had nothing to do with him...he then asked us if we wanted crown moulding in each room to make them look even better...AND HE ADDED CROWN MOULDING to each room!!!! NO EXTRA COST!!!! Are you kidding me! Who does that? No one...that is no one but Newton and Mayfair Remodeling Corp. 6. CLEANLINESS - I am very much an anal person who likes things clean. Being this kind of person, you can imagine how difficult it might be during construction. I NEVER felt as though our home was a mess. Newton's crew was very meticulous and made sure to clean everything each day, and especially once they were done. For someone like me this meant A LOT!!! 7. KEPT US INFORMED - Throughout the process, Newton was extremely transparent and informative. We spoke regularly and gave updates for the entire project. They kept the project moving and all workers were scheduled ahead of time to make sure they were available as they were needed. 8. FORESIGHT - Most contractors will finish part of a project and then tell you they are scheduling the next part and this takes time and adds to the total time of the project. Newton and Mayfair are not like this!!! Newton schedules people ahead of time and he orders supplies ahead of time so that there is no lag in time for the project. Everyone and everything is ready when it needs to be! We never had a moment where Newton said we needed to wait. NEVER!!!! In the end, you will not find a better contractor then Newton and you will not find a better group of remodelers than Mayfair Remodeling Corp. Please see the pictures below for the before and after of my home and just remember that it took only 3 months for this transformation to take place. PEOPLE WALK BY ALL THE TIME AND REMARK ABOUT HOW BEAUTIFUL OUR HOME IS AND THEY ARE FLABBERGASTED AT HOW QUICKLY IT WAS DONE. It has been almost 6 months now since the construction and we cannot be happier!!!

My neighbor suggested I give Mayfair a call when I wanted to replace my roof. Mayfair sent a crew which finished the job in two days. Newton and the workers were very professional and efficient. The roof looks great. More importantly, we had a torrential down pour during which I ran up to the attic with a flashlight. NOT A DROP! When it was time to put the gutters up the company came and noticed there was some damage to the wood. As a mater of fact in some places the wood had completely rotted away. Mayfair sent another crew THAT AFTERNOON to replace the missing planks. The gutter installation company came the next day and put them up. Once agin during a storm I walked around my property and everything was working great. In the end I paid extra only for materials. We have two more projects around the house and I wouldn't call anyone else to do the work. DM Bergen County NJ

During the storm in August a huge tree fell on my house with major damage to my roof, rafters and siding. I was referred to Mayfair Remodeling Corp. and of the 3 contractors that I contacted, Mayfair was the only one to respond. An estimator came to review the damage and estimates were given quickly. The estimates given for the complete roofing and entire siding of the house were very reasonable compared to other estimates. Since I had to go through my home owners policy Mayfair worked with me to get important info to my agent. The work itself was completed in a timely manner and the final results are beautiful! My neighbors have commented on how great my house looks. And one of my neighbors is also going to contract with Mayfair. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of their rep Newton, who always responded to my inquiries immediately. They even put new roofing on my shed!! I recommend this company 100%.

The siding and window job went great. They were very professional. I would hire them again.

I got an email today from someone named Lee...the email read verbatim:
I came to your house and looked at the window, unfortunately this type of job is not "our cup of tea."  Sorry but we can't help you with the project.  Lee
What does that mean???  and what kind of company responds to someone looking to hire them saying it's "not their cup of tea"??? They installed the window, I certainly thought they could fix it...but even if they can't, or don't do that type of work anymore, what kind of response is that to give a potential customer???  I emailed him back asking if he could recommend a company I could contact to do the job for us...but he never even answered.
For a company to be in business as long as they have been to respond to an estimate request like that is not only unprofessional, but rude.  I have a large sun room on the back of my house that has 3 walls of it that is all windows that need to be completely replaced.  I had planned on using them in the spring to do it...but forget it now.  I would never use them, or recommend them again.
Very disappointed in their version of customer assistance.

When I had my house which is probably 10 years ago the first who did didn’t do all the trims so they had done that then they repaired and work that was done by the previous person and they put windows in and another house down so I am very pleased with their services.  It’s a few times that I’ve used them.  It cost me more than that maybe $5000 or I’m just maybe thinking the windows was about $5000 and it’s just a few hundred each time a repair the siding in my house.  I think they have done multiple jobs.  They did these windows last spring and they did the doors on the other house.  They did a bunch of work.  Yeah, that was a big job replacing all the windows and doors on the other house.  Actually, my friend had them sized her house when she bought her house a few years ago and she was pleased with their work.  They are very professional, polite and clean up their mess when they come over and do their jobs.  They come when they say.  Sometimes I have to make a couple of phone calls.  I think I've used them four times already.

I have used them in the past. I checked if their ratings were still good. They are reliable and they came on time. They were pleasant. They came and did their job. They were professional. They were very good.

Very well. Dropped off the screens to be repaired and they were ready before the expected date

No call back. No Show

It took almost 3 months to have a new pane of glass replaced in one of my windows. They came promptly to measure and get a deposit for the work. 2 months later they came to install the pane and it turns out they couldn't install it because the manufacturer sent the wrong size!!! Obviously they don't check their shipments. When I called to reschedule the installation, it took another 2 weeks and only upon my insistence, they scheduled me for this week (I wanted a total refund as they told me that couldn't accommodate my request as they had and quot; another customerand quot; scheduled, then, they came to install the pane). Wouldn't recommend their services EVER!

The only window contractor that offered this option to me. All others wanted to replace the entire window with a more expensive window. Since the wood frame was still in excellent condition, a full replacement seemed to be unnecessary. More than a few of the glass panes were damaged and overall the window was quite drafty. Craig came out to measure and explain the various options. He provided me with quotes for each of the options. He clearly knows his products and is able to offer reasonable and cost effective suggestions. The whole process was very professional from start to finish. I am very happy with the work that was completed.

Their price was reasonable. We looked around at other places. There were a couple of minor issues, because I have a 100-year-old home. Their follow-up was great. I called them, and they responded immediately. They take care of their customers.

Ordered custom storm door. Turnaround time for custom door order was approximately 3 weeks which was stated in the contract. Communication between the office manager was excellent due to some scheduling conflicts. The installer arrived promptly on the scheduled date and time as stated in the contract and was very professional. I was initially concerned regarding the cost of the door compared to major warehouse store prices, but since this doorway gets most of the abuse, it has held up flawlessly!

The information and estimate process was very professional by a person with 20+ years in the company's 40 + years in the area (we used 15- 18 years ago for aluminum storm / screen covers for whole house- some are still in place and all in good condition). The windows and installation was delivered on time and without any work or quality issues. Mayfair also promptly provided necessary tax credit information / documents upon completion. Mayfair lived up to our expectations based on much earlier experience) and I know others who used Mayfair and were happy with them in the past as well. Hint: When we looked at competitors ads for replacement windows, most quoted or mentioned Anderson- if customers want non-wood, Anderson may not be the best product choice. We chose non-wood because we did not want to paint / maintain (it is also less expensive, but that did not drive our decision). Mayfair gave us at least 2 alternatives to the makers of the windows we chose, and the prices depend on the particulars of the job- we believe got off alot easier than we thought we would without sacrificing quality.

Craig is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and patient. It took us a very long time to decide what we wanted. Until we met Craig, we did not know there were so many options available to us. The work was performed on time and at the price quoted.

THE REALTOR THAT I BOUGHT THE HOUSE FROM GAVE ME THE NAME AND NUMBER FOR THIS COMPANY. THEY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE JOB AND THEY STAYED WITHIN THAT ESTIMATE. THE JOB WAS DONE QUICKLY AND THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.

THIS COMPANY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME AND DID FINISH THE JOB ON TIME. THEY WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL WHILE I WAS PICKING OUT THE GUTTERS.

I WAS VERY PLEASED THAT THEY WERE HERE ON TIME AND KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. I LIKED THEM AND THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND ACCESSIBLE. THEY WERE VERY HONEST AND EVERYTHING WENT VERY WELL.
